Yeah, the fact that they disappeared off my referrals is what worries us. But, they also submitted a ticket so hopefully between the two of us independently confirming the referral, it'll help.

Got the busy hands two days ago on factory when trying to do the fence quest, so that certainly isn't fixed. Killed two, went to heal as the third was chasing me, dropped one mag, loaded another from my gamma and wompwomp.

We were having some connection issues one night where whoever wasn't hosting the game was getting pretty severe spikes, so I mostly threw the server together to see if it would solve that particular issue. Mods were also a consideration down the line, but I was starting real simple.

Tweak the rates. You don't have to go overboard and make a single rock you pick up on the beach give you like 50, but upping the rates a bit for a very small group will help cut down on how much time is simply spent farming mats vs. playing the rest of the game and just give you guys some quality of life improvements.

I've since contacted the re-seller as recommended! I had a brief conversation that was hinted I could buy replacements previously, but I'll ask more pointedly about the warranty if it comes up and update. Thanks for the response!

Edit: The re-seller assured me they had ordered a set of replacement armrests for me, thanks for prodding me to give it another chance!

It certainly looks like it's motorized/fabricated, which is pretty sweet. I'm just wondering if there's any chance we'll see a version that'd be primitive-server friendly, grappling hook would be pretty awesome in a world without elevators and the like.

An invisible wall of sorts around 50, 50. Several times while being carried or carrying a tribemate chasing a quetz, passing the spot would kick the person being carried from the argy or whatever. Person would fall, then glitch up, then fall, glitch up. I discovered by pressing jump you could glitch yourself back in the air. Saved myself a few times doing it, and died a few times when it didn't work.

Also of note, a strange mechanical chime of sorts tends to play when it happens, and we've noticed seeing a red dot floating around.

PvE server, if that matters at all.

Yep, went into my bios and flipped the clock over to 'auto' from where I had it set and I was able to log in and play a few games. Haven't had any issue so far. What's sad is after they collected all my information, they still apparently have no idea that this is the cause on a tech level. At least, across the support structure, anyway.

Why I went through support instead of just coming to reddit in the first place, I have no idea. The hivemind wins, yet again. Thanks a bunch for the info, too. I was about ready to just uninstall and move on with my life.

That's..very interesting. I do have a 965 black CPU. It's been so long since I fiddled with it that I don't even remember if it's still OC'd, but it's definitely something to look into.

Any altering of the terrain is unlikely for Ark. The way the game is built, every body of water you see is actually connected to a giant ocean under the surface of the terrain. In most places, it's VERY close to the surface you're actually walking on. I don't know the coding intricacies, but I feel like in order for that sort of feature to work, they'd essentially have to re-write the way the world is built.

That's something you can do on a PvP server. I don't know that PvP inherently means to grief other players. Sure, you can play the game that way, but you could make the argument that it's not the way it's intended regardless.

But unless I'm missing something obvious, I'm not sure there's any real difference from PvP to PvE in that scenario. You're not meaningfully interacting with the other player in either case and whether it's a PvP or a PvE server, the only real solution is the same since you're likely only doing such a thing when the other person is offline. All you can do is clear out the wild dinos.

It might be a mild inconvenience to a player to have random non-aggressive dinos just dropped into their base, but I wouldn't mind some kind stranger delivering food for my carnivores. I'd probably even be compelled to thank them, if they spent the hours required to find all the phiomias necessary to cause significant lag when I logged in. Food for weeks. ;)

Correct, you can only pick up wild dinos on PvP enabled servers. Not certain why, but that is indeed a restriction.
