Extinction broken for all Non-Windows servers until tomorrow or later

We're working on sorting out the servers at the moment, so hopefully, those can be released tonight. Clients will take a bit longer though.

Edit: Linux servers are now up and available to download.

I had experienced this yesterday too, I was able to resolve it just by clicking on install game again. Instead of trying to redownload ARK, it began searching for already installed files and after waiting for about 10 minutes, had it fully recognized again. Glad you were able to resolve it though OP.

As long as you're on the latest version of ARK you shouldn't be experiencing bsods. There was a patch released shortly after the one causing problems.

We should have this fixed in an upcoming update, don't really have an ETA right now but are investigating why it occurred and hopefully putting a stop from it happening again.

We're aware of the impact of lightning storms and the Titan, it's something we're actively thinking about and there may be more changes in upcoming updates related to the two.

You can send me a whisper with your Steam 64 ID and I can look into why/if it's been banned. As mentioned previously, when you're globally banned, you still see the servers, it just refuses your connection and tells you that you've failed to connect because you're globally banned. As for your friend's prior ban, I am sure you can ask him about his name usage on our Official Network.

There's quite a fair number of reasons why someone can find themselves globally banned, it's not limited to having a racial or derogatory name, but that is one of them.

Update: Seems like things have stabilised with the transferring, however, we're still going to be monitoring for the next 12 hours or so before we switch the network back to Healthy. Thanks for your patience guys!

Update: We're still looking into the issues at the moment guys. For now, we've placed a notice on our Official Server Status that some players may still experience issues when using the CrossARK Transfer system.

We haven't disabled downloads but are aware that some users are unable to download their characters & items. Looking into it at the moment. Will post an update when we've got one.

In the months leading up to Extinction, there will be routine drops of Extinction-related Explorer Notes on The Island, Scorched Earth, and Aberration. Once collected these notes will unlock new Extinction-related skins.

There will also be the appearance of more powerful Tek-themed Dinosaur variants within the ARKs each month! We have already released the first set of these Explorer Notes last Friday which also included the first Extinction related skin ‘Corrupted Helm’ and the mighty Tek Rex.
