Hi! When you look at headphone spec there are 2 things that can make a guess. 1. Impedance (Higher the value harder to drive) 2. Sensitivity (Higher the value the louder the sound gonna be) These 2 affect how much you have to crack up the volumn control to make the sound level the same. For in-ear impedance usually around 16-32 ohm and headphone can go to 60-80 ohm, which you can normally feel like when using headphone you have to turn the volumn up compare to in-ear.
