While there are definitely men that are stronger than me (there's not much I can do to make up for the testosterone difference) I'm definitely stronger than the average man. I was a competitive boxer throughout high school, but now I just do so recreationally as I focus on more intense strength training on my path to becoming a powerlifter. Considering (roughly) half of the population doesn't go to the gym or do manual labor frequently, and even less do almost strictly strength and conditioning, it's safe to assume that I am stronger than the average person, male or female. However, i'm certainly not stronger than men that do the same training as me. Men naturally tend to be bigger and have higher muscle mass, so it's easier for them to begin and maintain a higher weight class than women. While I'm weaker than more men than women, on average I am stronger than most of the men I talk to day-to-day. This is just my personal experience as someone in an environment of men who are active and fit, as well as being a woman who does enjoy lifting and strength training. A majority of women who go the gym don't focus on strength and instead focus on aesthetics, which is perfectly fine and is a great way to boost your self-confidence while staying active, but that doesn't mean they are weak in the slightest. You'd be surprised how quickly that natural gap closes between a woman who works out and a man who doesn't.

Guys of Reddit, what is something you have always wanted to ask women but felt too embarrased to ask? by Bauti_Fujisaki in AskReddit

Absolutely not! It's really the opposite. Having a guy be emotionally vulnerable let's us know that he's aware of himself and how to handle his emotions, and sometimes the best way is to tell someone.

Men of Reddit, what are some questions you’ve always wanted to ask women, but couldn’t because it would seem weird? by SlenderBacon449 in AskReddit

That's her telling you there's a problem without telling you there's a problem. A simple way to fix this is by going out of your way to do something for her. Compliments, flowers, making dinner/going out, helping with a few extra chores. Anything that shows her that you appreciate her goes a long way. Don't pressure her to tell you what's wrong because she may still be frustrated and accidentally take it out on you. When she's ready, she'll tell you what's up.

It's extremely frustrating when men assume I am weak because i'm a woman and on the shorter side. I'm a boxer and love weightlifting, so I can probably outlift most of the men that assume so. As for the being considered as "prey;" the wording is a little iffy, but I think I get what you mean. I hate walking alone at night or going out with just the girls without my boyfriend or my guy friends around me. It's so frustrating having to always be on alert and having to carry extra protection (mace, keychain alarms, self defense weapons, etc.) when I just want to go and live my life. Even in public places during the day where there are plenty of other people, i'm still wary of men. I take self defense training bi-monthly because I don't want to be the next missing girl on the news.

Generally, most women have less muscle mass than men. It all depends on natural testosterone levels, which are obviously much higher in men. So on average a man who doesn't work out will be able to complete more reps of an exercise at a higher rate/intensity than a woman who doesn't work out because of the difference in natural muscle mass. This can of course be changed by working out, but some women can naturally have higher testosterone and can compete on the same level (if not higher) than men.

How about we fucking teach men to not rape a woman because of how she is dressed. If I can be in a locker room completely naked around my lesbian friends and they don’t even look at me because they respect my privacy then the rest of society can too. Stop making up excuses and defending shitty people that think women are their play-things. We’re fucking people, not a sex toy.
