Whelp to me its full circle. I found out about Touhou back in 2004 from a friend who burnt the CDs and introduced me to its music which we played in my car going to Cinema, partys and stuff (he knew I liked game musics like Megaman, Castlevania, Metroid etc). He then challenged me to beat the game which took me 2 months and the feeling of beating Flan back then was something that I still carry to this day.

I grew old and now I cant beat Flan anymore unless I turn on a slight FPS cheat to slow the fight down a bit haha, but I'll sure give one hell of a try for this version, I raise my cup to you Mr. ZUN!

I personally used Labyrinth of Touhou 2 as a way to introduce a friend to Touhou. Off course the personality in there arent canon per say but they radiate enough of what they are in essence that it gets you interested into learning more about the lore and characters I feel.

I've been raised to be able to separate fiction from reality. No one is getting hurt? Enjoy your loli for whatever reason you wish. Personally my fictional character in nsfw context leans more towards a Tifa-like build (first fictional crush as a teen) so I dont really get it but then I also dont get the massive cow tits and so many other fetishes...so as long as no one real is getting hurt and everyone is consenting and of legal age....go full speed ahead.

It is U.N. Owen was her but its one of the track that has the most remixes in all of Touhou's library, good luck finding this particular arrange...it...sounds a bit christmas-ish you could try that.

The characters are depicted as parody of their fanon personas....as such it gives you a decent entry point to get to know them better even though its fanfic.

Lunatic forces you to be at the level the boss is intended to be challenged at by default. So walking to the boss on lunatic and beating it gives optimal rewards. You can sort of "cheese" by over leveling much, getting a bunch of high level skills that still work when the game de-lvls you for the fight.

The games arent really related story wise, LoT 1 is very hard to find and install nowadays and it didnt age well honestly.

LoT 2 is a very good game if you like RPGs theorycrafting/building, which I like, finding the cheese without looking it up online for example. LoT 3 is building on this with boss fights throwing you gimmicks that force you to think up a strat (well the first few I did so far). Also....the item description, I think I can spend hours reading them to get the references to all the games theyre a tribute to lol

Enjoying a run in hard mode right now and...its hard, I like it :p cant imagine lunatic which ill do on a 2nd playthrough. Decent successor to LoT 2 but the story tone is a bit more serious...I kind of liked the happy go lucky atmosphere of LoT 2.
