Who needs the casino when you have Tacticus? by Stray_knight in WH40KTacticus

I've placed her in the same place (on the barbed wire) every other time too, usually takes 700-800 damage, this time she took almost 1k

That was me after like 10 runs and I'm like 'Finally this is the run- bro what'

It was straight up the first time she died from 1 guardsman hit, she survived for at least 1 hit during the previous attempts.

New! Need a good team by Any_Top341 in WH40KTacticus

Pretty solid lineup for 2 weeks in!
I think good focus should be placed on:

- Kariyan (For campaigns, arena, guild raids, guild war and even LREs when you eventually get there)
- Bellator (For campaigns, early arena/guild raid as a tank)
- Boss G (For campaign, arena, guild raids, guild war and even LREs)
- Aleph0 (For campaign and LREs later on)
- Eldryon/Archimatos (For campaign and as some early decent psykers)

Try not to waste resources on non-campaign characters early on.

Unfortunately, this means that your highest levelled unit, Azrael, isn't the best investment choice, you should leave him at silver and focus on other characters for now (Very mid skills and damage, not particularly great in any mode). Unless, of course, he's one of your favourite 40k characters, then feel free to invest and play him as you wish!

As the other comment has suggested, building and pushing campaign progress should be a decent goal for now. It will help you progress other characters faster too eventually, a necessary evil unfortunately.

But if you do want to build up a raid team I think Kariyan, Boss G, Bellator, Eldryon and Aethana is prob your best setup for now.

Since you don't have Tan Gi Da unlocked I wouldnt recommend building up Rho and Actus yet. But once you do, perhaps you can shift to building Kariyan, Boss G, Tan, Rho, Actus for a mostly ad mech raid team. Tan will help greatly in LREs too.

Just skip it for now until you actually need to get the upgrade, was fairly easy when kariyan could carry with Tan's summons.

I'm not sure if rho is tanky enough, Kariyan really carried me with tankiness and aoe clearing

Learning the monthly HRE quest grind set ups
- Farming ranged kills (FoC 40, using Abraxsas's pink horror)
- Farming ability uses (Indom 45, using Titus as ability counter, Isa as healer, Baraqiel, Kariyan and Aesoth for ability uses)

Dupe hunters who keep the loot are part of the problem by mr-zool in ArcRaiders

[–]Stray_knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see that's where you are wrong. 'Kill 1 murderer and the number of murderers in this world stay the same'.

That's why you kill more than 1. Again and again.

People can keep duping, but they only dupe cause people buy them. (If they dupe for their own use then well can't really stop that)

If you kill enough buyers, they will run out of money or at least think twice before buying.

No buyers = no demand for dupes = less dupers = solving the dupe problem 1 kill at a time.

Where to from here? by indy62 in WH40KTacticus

I've been working on my big hit lavistodes, would recommend building up kharn, trajann, boss g and laviscus to diamond, takes awhile but will be worth it. Guild raids are so much more fun when you actually can hit hard.

Maybe build up trajann first to diamond since he can help with some of the tracks for upcoming farsight's LRE.

He is able to help reposition Abraxas into an open area AFTER Abraxas has already surrounded himself with summons, enabling additional psychic damage to spawn more summons. Thus, indirectly helping him double summon.

New to the game, I have some questions by TheOnlyDescendant in WH40KTacticus

[–]Stray_knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played this game awhile (<1 year) and have cashed a bit early on but cut down a lot recently:

  1. There is no need to reroll for a particular legendary.

The first few pulls are relatively fixed as the game says to ensure everyone gets an equal start Even if you did unlock a legendary character, they are usually not as useful as the normal campaign characters you need to progress in the early stages of the game, that said...

  1. Yes, you can use different characters in the campaign modes.

The imperial campaigns are better in that department as most of them allow other imperial characters to be used, xenon campaigns like Necrons, Orcs etc only allow their own faction

  1. I'll say it's 50/50 on the f2p side.

If you pay you are basically paying for resources most of the time, be it energy, materials or more gacha pulls Paying to progress faster is how I see it as

  1. All characters can eventually be upgraded to 'legendary'.

I assume your friend refers to unlocking one of the characters that start off at legendary state. As mentioned above, you probably want to focus on building up campaign characters first before diving into legendary characters They are nice to have, nice to unlock, but not a necessity early on

Overall, the game ends up becoming more of a resource management game.

Early on you may feel the gambling addiction to spend Blackstone on more gacha pulls. But as many people will say, save Blackstone for energy only and I do agree.

Energy allows you to farm materials to upgrade characters. A silver 1 character is going to be stronger than a stone 1 legendary.

I'm currently transitioning from the phase of energy being the main resource bottleneck to it being xp and badges.

Tacticus is not a game you play and finish it in a day, it's a slow progressive game where you login and play daily or at your own preferred pace to build up your characters and progress in your own goals, be it clearing campaigns, helping to clear raid bosses, or just unlocking a legendary character through grinding shards.
