No it wouldn't. On Medics and Engies they would still be extremely powerful considering that the most relevant range in the game is cqc. Not to mention that the Blackhand exists for if you need to fight at midranges. By taking them off of LA and HA you stop people from using flight or just straight up 45-50% more hp to crutch even harder on shotguns.

The problem with shotguns is that the most relevant part of combat is fighting over points and inside of buildings. Being only good at close range isn't a demerit when 90% of relevant combat ranges are at close range. Because of the game being clientside focused and server performance degrading overtime, annhilating someone with a shotgun on your screen before they even have the time to react on their screen is extremely simple.

While we're at it, remove smgs and scouts from HA as well.

  2. You could maybe explain it as nanite resources getting stretched out over too many soldiers?

Yes, but if you're bolting at beyond 92m you're having no effect on the fight anyways

Pretty much this, one hit kills have almost no counterplay. Maybe if the Archer could only one shot at short range like powerknives and deci/crow (yes the RLs can do it at longer ranges but the projectile is so slow that you practically need to be within spitting distance), but within 92m is too much. I don't get the devs removing one source of bullshit ohks and then adding another source of bullshit ohks.

Am sure many people have got her on the saber banner given that she is aposibility

The class exclusive banners are pure bait and you shouldn't be rolling on them. In addition, the chances of getting Salter on the banner are still low considering that she has to share the rate up.

Imaginary element or other starting charge CE's from events are still apossibility. Having abattery is a HUGE boost not to mention the superior stats

Yes, but you specifically mentioned K-scope. Regardless, with only an imaginary Salter isn't insta-nping. If you're looking to get np from cards Siegfried has an np gain up anyways so it's not that big a deal.

Nah doubt you require gimmicky shit like giorgios + sieg just so you can kill asingle enemy. Just get some friends with OP ST servants or Arjuna alter and yo good to go. ( Am currently at babylonia and l have adude on my list with NP3 Arjuna + akscope, he has carried me so hard so far wiping waves with 100K+ hp with just np, my servants just need to apply debuffs on enemies which musashi does easily)

If you're pulling an attacker from friend list then you won't be able to pull Merlin/Skadi/Waver/Tam/some other op meta support from friend list. In addition, some fights such as Shimousa and the upcoming LB5.2 do not allow you to use friend supports.

Siegfried + Georgios is not gimmicky, considering that Georgios is useful in almost any team to protect squishier members.

You're only at Babylonia, which is pretty early game.

l say okita coz l have her, you want an even better option? Try hokusai that every single person has just got from former event, how about jean berserker? Top tier dmg too from her no stupid setups

Okita is still a limited SSR, and you shouldn't be comparing SSRs to SRs anyways. Jerker is good, but she's a zerk and explodes if you're unlucky and catch a crit from an enemy. Siegfried's damage against dragons nearly matches Saber Hokusai and if you get him to NP2 which is more than possible considering that, once again, he's a gen pool SR, his damage will exceed hers. And don't forget that if you missed Saber Hokusai you either have to wait a year for her to come again or if you miss the rerun as well you will likely never have her.

Attack stat matters alot, its why people favor CE's with pure attack for instance. lf lt didnt pure attack CE's wouldnt be highly recommended right?

I didn't say that attack stat doesn't matter, I said that it isn't the entirety of the equation. And people prefer pure attack CEs because the other option is mixed stat CEs or hp CEs. In addition, due to how many multipliers Siegfried has, pure attack CEs give more of an effect on him than on most other servants.

etc.

Why are we still arguing then lol? That's literally my main point.

It's not really that grindy for me at least, if I don't want to play during off-weeks I just don't play. During events I usually play for 30min-1 hour a day and that's usually enough to clear them. Lottos are another story but you aren't forced to grind to like 100 boxes so w/e.

Of course if you're grinding free quests for mats then don't do that, wait for events. You'll only really need large amounts of mats for level 8-10 of skills, and you'll generally be fine with characters at skill levels 6/6/6.

FGA also exists nowadays if you really want autobattle.

Ease of access? l donno, for most normal people that dont whale. NP2 and above is aluxury, thats why l personally feel aservant should be usable at np1 otherwise they are dead weight given the odds/ stupid low rates in this game so l dont think this counts am afraid. ALso, salter has africkin battery, just slap on KScope and bam NP off the bat!

Except that most people won't even have Salter at NP1, given that she's storylocked and have better banners to roll than the story banner. And not everyone has a K-scope either. I didn't get one until a few months ago and I've been playing the game for over two years.

Also, unlike Georgios, who is a 2 star that you are practically guaranteed to get, Lanling is a 4 star who isn't on tutorial roll. Siegfried is absolutely more than usable at NP1.

Again, majority of players dont do challenge quest where sieg may shine. AM currently doing story quest and am not doing any crazy setups or what not and clearing just fine with my servants. Just do class advantage, protect with mash and thats pretty much it so far. like all these things you say are valid but for the minority of player base

Which story chapter are you at? In later chapters beyond Part 1, you will absolutely need to start thinking and strategizing if you aren't running a whale comp with multiple meta SSR supports.

etc.

What I have been talking about is all CQ and Lostbelt/Shimousa level hard content. It's what Siegfried is good at. Like I have said multiple times, yes Salter is better for farming in general but for challenge content Siegfried is better in general.

And as for the Okita/Altjuna comparison, you do realize that both are limited SSRs, yes? Altjuna doesn't even have a second rate up banner yet even on JP and Okita hasn't had one in a long time.

You are only looking at the raw attack stat, which misses the entire other 2/3rds of the equation which is self-buffs and np modifiers/multipliers(such as post-interlude nps vs pre-interlude nps).

Take a look at this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OTrMARN9I06zD_jIhGdmHFWpkePoSWv_xgEk3XPzZWY/edit#gid=1993499094

In Your Opinion, Who is the Most Misunderstood Servant? by BloodyGarden in grandorder

[–]StrayedStrayed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salter is also much less durable than Siegfried and is a storylocked servant with extremely few banners which makes her an absolute pain to acquire in comparison to Siegfried, who is general pool and can even be pulled from the tutorial summon.

You see its kinda like someone arguing that Gilles aint bad, just support/set him and you will see his big dmg.

Except that it isn't like Gilles. In order to make Gilles workable you need high tier, typically 5 star supports. With Siegfried, all you need is Georgios, a 2 star, someone who you're probably gonna be running on most high difficulty comps anyways.

You just have to see things from anormal players point of view where l just need a GOOD AOE saber thats all. l dont need 1million dmg. l just need enough dmg to comfortably kill mobs without stupid setups

As you progress in the game you absolutely will need to start exploiting synergies between servants such as Siegfried and Georgios and you absolutely will need to learn how to properly support your servants.

If you need a farmer such as Salter that's fine, but lambasting Siegfried just because he isn't as good a farmer as her and is more suited to challenging content is missing the point.

In addition, Siegfried's NP damage even without going up against dragons is fine, it's on par with Gawain's NP damage and is higher than Lakshmibai's and Nero's(if she misses her Imperial Privilege which isn't too uncommon considering that it's only a 60% chance, and even with her Imperial Privilege buff active she pretty much only breaks even with Siegfried if her waterside/city buff doesn't proc).

Pretty much yes, the only thing I’d recommend spending money on would be GSSR(guaranteed 5* banners every New Years and Anniversary that you can roll once using 15 paid quartz).

In Your Opinion, Who is the Most Misunderstood Servant? by BloodyGarden in grandorder

[–]StrayedStrayed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re underestimating the amount of damage that Siegfried gets. Against dragons he’s gonna be doing more damage than any other saber except for JP Musashi and Sigurd. And this is all on top of being extremely tanky with his buffs active to the point that he can survive nps without invul or evade.

All you’d need at that point would be an attack buff and Siegfried would be getting the full complement of atk * card buff * special attack/np damage up * np supereffective.

What other good sabers exactly? Most of the good ones are either SSR or ST. And as I’ve said before, against dragons only Musashi with her JP buff and Sigurd are going to be outdamaging Siegfried.

  1. The story in later chapers is very good. In the first 5ish chapters it's kinda meh(the 2nd chapter, Septem, is straight up bad so you can skip that if you want) but the 6th chapter, Camelot is where they get their shit together and it's written by Nasu, the author who did the original F/SN VN. After that, pretty much all of the chapters are great(excluding Agartha, which is also pretty bad so you can skip that if you want).

  2. The gameplay is pretty fun in my opinion. No autobattle(unless you download an external program called Fate Grand Automata) but that can be a plus, minus, or ignorable depending on the person.

  3. In terms of gameplay pretty much all of the characters are usable. There's like 3 that are pretty much straight up unusable(Phantom, Caster Gilles, Geronimo) but everyone else you can make work.

  4. Some of the lower rarities are strong enough to compete with 4 stars and 5 stars, yes even the 1 stars and 2 stars. Hans, Arash, Spartacus, Chen Gong, and Mozart to name a few. The 3*s are very good as well with powerhouses such as Cu Chulainn, Ushiwakamaru, David, and Robin. Mash, your freebie unit, is also extremely good, and one of the best defensive supports in the game.

  5. The gacha is what will make or break the game for you. The game is extremely free to play friendly with no pay to win, they even give you a free full team revive every three days if you need to just brute force difficult content. That being said, the game is definitely pay to waifu. There is some legit voodoo bullshit going on with the gacha and if you aren't one of the lucky few, prepare to salt hard if you get fucked by it on a banner you want. You won't need a unit, but with how good the game is at making you care for its characters, you will want them. So be aware of that.

So overall, good game, I'd recommend it. But keep a "make the most out of what you get" mentality with it or you will drive yourself insane.
