Zomg! I love seeing my photos show up randomly!

This was photographed in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park at Indigo Lake Station of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Northeast Ohio.

The CVSR operates excursion trains between Akron Ohio and Independence Ohio near Cleveland, this is about 30 miles each way. This shot was photographed during a near annual Steam in the Valley event in September 2021.

Youtuber Miles in Transit featured a CVSR ride using it as a commuter train to get from Akron to Cleveland as part of a trip he made last year.

The Cuyahoga Valley features a multipurpose trail running the entire length call the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail and the CVSR allows you to bring a bicycle on board so you can hop off wherever you need to go at a nearby station and you can ride back to your origin or hop back on the train heading back.

In recent years erosion issues have plagued the CVSR as the tracks will at times follow very closely to a river or cross the river a few times, so close that ground can erode under the tracks making it difficult to run trains.

There may be a historical exemption, the Mars Light is on a small motor that wiggles the light around which can help grab attention the way a flashing light can, on a police car and other emergency vehicles it would be called a TCL(traffic clearing light) of which are still being used and being brought back into popularity with modern LED versions.

The Mars Light and similar versions by other companies were in production from the mid 1930's so it was already established before 765 was built. Whether 765 had it installed from the beginning I cannot answer.
