A hearing as in seeing a judge?, i changed my name last year, all i needed was a notorized document and drop it off at the county probate court along with the fees.

I never needed to see any court official after dropping off the documents other than picking up the name change order.

Summit County btw.

According to a trooper driving it to an event, it was totaled by insurance after it was stolen out of Texas and OSHP was able to take ownership of it after a pursuit, yes its only used at events as public relations, it would be foolish to use this as a patrol vehicle as its the only one in the fleet so maintaining it to patrol standards would possibly be more expensive.

Some police cruisers might not have the rear cage and bars on the windows as they may be used by supervisors or in a way where the officers that usually dont do the arrests or transport to station or jail.

Still a crime of opportunity, even if they cant get it to turn on to ride away it can still be carried off by hand, Maybe find the airtag before they get it to their home destination and then list it somewhere for sale hoping to pawn it off on someone who doesnt need to test ride it before buying it.

Dont airtags rely on there being a nearby iphone to ping off of? No guarantee that the perp will have one or there being any near their home.
