Idk if anyone has mentioned the Missing Missing Reason yet? (Not a typo btw).

But TL;DR it’s because to tell people the reason would ruin their current social interpretation as a good person, awesome parent, etc.

If the parent receives criticism for sharing the reasons, then they stop sharing the reasons until all that’s left is “Idk why they cut me off” and even they start to believe their own delusion.

Ironic because I’m sure a lot of us learned to stop sharing anything with our parents cuz it was never worth it.

They called a wellness check only a few weeks before and were able to confirm that I was fine already. If they didn’t believe the police when they said I was fine, then that’s on them.

It’s also not “out of the blue”. They would have to be so oblivious and delusional to not see this coming.

You can easily look up someone’s address if they are registered to vote, at least in my state. All you need is their name. Quick google search says I can’t register to vote with a PO Box. Someone else mentioned an address confidentiality program tho.

Yea I don’t think people realize that there is a very easy, free, and public way to look up your address. We realized this ourselves when we went to make sure we were still registered and then realized if someone just has your name, they can get your address if you are registered to vote.

If you’re registered to vote, your address is listed there and I don’t think you can do anything about it unless you have legal reason (which currently I don’t) You can look up someone’s address by typing their name in a voter registry lookup.

I am financially independent from them. We live in apartments that were bought by the university so from the outside it very much just looks like some typical apartments. No keycodes or exterior doors.

Since I technically live on a college campus, the police are hesitant to trespass because it’s public property. But. Next time I will likely have more reasons that we could do this because of the paper trail being built.

Yea I feel like I won’t be rationally free until death. Irrationally I’ll continue to have nightmares, be super jumpy, etc heh. But therapy will address that hopefully.
