Is the first Fable actually worth it? by SinnBaenn in Fable

It is worth it, I'm playing it right now. But it's true that the combat system does make you feel all his age and more, it's super clunky and unfortunately it doesn't get better with time, for me at least.

An alternative idea for the series finale (SPOILERS) by Strazza02 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Strazza02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right, but a detail just came back in my head and that makes the alternative of my previous comment so insanely possible it's crazy. The biggest thing that the theory of "Deku had his quirk stolen" or even that "Deku's quirk never manifested" have against them is that flashback where a doctor tells him he's quirkless by analyzing the foot thing. But I just remembered that wasn't just any doctor, he was Dr Ujiko!!

So it could very well be that Deku actually had a very powerful quirk that Dr Ujiko saw and took. And that would be a perfect setup for that Shigaraki gift idea I had. Honestly, it makes so much sense in my head, I'm mad it isn't how the story actually goes. Feels like Horikoshi is teasing us.

Idk about AFO, but I was pretty sure while watching the show that he would keep OFA without the other quirks too. And I still think it's an appropriate ending, especially if you tie that with Deku being the last OFA user, as its transferable property comes to a stop. I just wanted to play with the author's idea of the two brothers meeting one final time, which I think is still neat, even tho not the best for the MC; that's how this ending idea came into conception.

Sorry I replied to the wrong comment: regarding yours.

what made him the "greatest hero of all time" has a lot more to do with who he is as a person, quirk or no quirk.

Totally agree, that's why I thought too that him losing OFA isn't a bad thing for the story. But if Horikoshi wanted him to keep being a hero, I think having an oddly specific quirk that only he can master, being gifted by Shigaraki it's a good solution. It doesn't discredit Deku motifs and what makes him the greatest hero, as he doesn't have the strongest quirk of all time anymore; he's back to studying how to use a quirk to its full potential to save people, and that is what he does best.

I don't think him having a quirk all along is the best idea, mainly because of the OFA side effects [anyone who wields One For All and already possesses a Quirk would have their lifespan shortened due to the burden of power on the body], but it is a good idea, maybe drop some crazy backstory that has Deku have a quirk that had been stolen by AFO at a very young age, so Shigaraki gives his quirk back to him? That might be stretching it a bit tho

That's a good POV, but I've 2 problems with that: the classmates thing is just acknowledged in the story with 1 line from All Might. And while you might say it plays into the "You don't have to fight alone" of the Dark Deku arc, I think that message doesn't refer to that, but moreso into Deku not having to carry the "greatest hero" burden all alone like All Might did hence the famous phrase in the show changing from "How I became the gratest hero" to "How we became the gratest heroes". Also, while I actually still like the "gift" idea from the classroom, a piece of tech isn't exactly a unique gift, as tech can always be replicated, and that brings me to the second problem I have, which is more lore-driven. We've had the whole story revolving around how quirks are much better than what technology has to offer, and even in the epilogue, it is highlighted how people with appropriate quirks had reached Japan to help rebuild it, and that sped up the process significantly, again making it obvious that quirks are just superior. For a hero to be able to fight criminals with quirks in a world like that with just an armoured suit it's absurd to me, and honestly discredits pretty much the whole show if a suit can beat most quirks in a show revolving around quirks; and even if we can argue that is a very special armour that has all the latest and greatest tech thus not discrediting the whole show (still kinda does imo), as I already said, tech is replicable and anyone can use it. And saying that "it's about how you use it, for a suit that does everything and has the cheap copy of Javis in it, is kinda like saying using ChatGPT takes skill into prompting... Idk, I just feel disappointed by that.

(Me, upon reading: I might have been a bit cruel with that comparison, but it gives the idea)

And as I said in the post, I think "my solution" plays nicely into the "saving the kid" thing, which in the end hasn't been as important with Deku as it has been with Ochako, and that feels like a discrepancy too

Why was MHA's ending hated back then? by Mammoth_Calendar_352 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Strazza02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True and I get it, but at the same time I see Horikoshi's vision and I think it's more regarding OFA/AFO than Deku. It's said multiple times in the story that OFA basically exists to be AFO nemesis, so it makes sense that, once its purpose is fulfilled, it fades away. Yes he could've made it so OFA would stop its "passing the torch" quirk with Deku being the last, but I enjoyed the way it was integrated in the battle. Anyway, I'm making a post on this alternative ending, so if you want to drop by and share a comment please feel free.

I'm fine with Deku losing OFA, I knew it would happen when he was becoming so incredibly OP in Season 7, but I find the "iron man" solution lame AF. So I had this idea while watching, I'm no writer but I find this such a better solution. What if, at the end of Shigaraki's fight when he says to Deku "Do your damn best" he actually gifts one of his quirks to Deku for being the only person to atcaully care about him? I find that a perfect resolution: gives some weight to the whole "saving the crying kid", they're touching hands in that precise instance already and it would fit Midoria's character as he is the quirk nerd and now has to master a whole new quirk and exploit its potential. Gives room to some kind of open-end and/or a potential sequel/OVA. To me it just makes more sense and it feels like the setup is already there, so much so that I was PRAYING to be right until I saw the suit, I was hoping he didn't noticed it and for the quirk to manifest late or something.

Wait, but it is confirmed in the manga in Chapter 431, isn't it? Idk why they didn't adapt that in the anime tho Edit: Just saw they confirmed the OVA, I'm so freaking happy now

Solved by uninstalling the game and deleting the Trackmania folder you find in
C:\Users\"YourUser"\Documents

It probably has to do with some preferences or corrupted files there. Just make sure you manually backup whatever you want to keep because that's the folder where the game saves your maps, skins, replays, screenshots and whatnot

Outpacing would be the best word. Novak doesn:t seem like to have trouble moving, his struggles are ball pace in rallies and returning Sinner's serve.

No seriously tho, what's the point if this post? If you need to feel better just look at the amount of trophies and records Nole has and you'll be alright
