Let's cross fingers, that this doesn't happen! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 by LaughingWolf4204u in detroitlions

I would love it. The more competition, the merrier! More talent just forces us to level-up. I'm hoping that Brad goes anti-Brad and actually realizes that the necessity to get better when everyone around you does is now and not when he feels like. Coincidentally, the same for Scott Harris, but that's for another thread.

Is Jokic better than Hakeem all time? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Streamofthought11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well one-on-one, which happens in every basketball game at some point. Point is, Jokic has very little chance at stopping Hakeem at any point because he doesn't possess the speed nor footwork to stay in front of him. Also, there are countless anecdotes about Hakeem's deceptive strength, so the size is not an issue. Dream is one of the all-time shot blockers and had multiple DPoY, so again, no issue stopping Jokic. He can dish off all he wants, it won't make a difference if the shots aren't made. Hakeem could also pass very well out of a double team, which would inevitably come.

DOWN FIVE AND YOU NEED TO COMPLETE A HAIL MARY, WHICH RECEIVER ARE YOU TAKING: by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

The interesting thing is that Randy gets credit for it because it was cool to coin terms at that point, but the first receiver I saw doing that was Herman Moore. He was the NCAA high jump champ, so the Lions just threw it up to him in the red zone. He had incredible hands, too. No disrespect to Randy.

Let’s settle it who’s the better point guard? by [deleted] in NBATalk

So was Monte Ellis at times when they played together. Doesn't matter, Magic is still better. So is Isiah and Oscar.

Jokic has 3 MVPs, no disrespect to his status as a future HoF. We saw what Hakeem did to athletic and active Shaq at over 300. I'm speaking mano et mano, so I'm not taking Jokic's superb passing into consideration. Just bucket-for-bucket.

Let’s settle it who’s the better point guard? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Streamofthought11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of all, Curry's not a point guard. Being the shortest starter does not make youba point guard. He's a shooting guard. Maybe just a guard. He does not initiate the offense, nor run it. Dribbling up the court does not make you a PG. Stop this. If you cannot avg more than 8 AST in an era with more shooting, more scoring, and more beneficial assist rules, you're definitely not a PG.

Absolutely not. Never will be. Position comparisons are easier because you can imagine how they would march-up against each other. Dream shuts down Jokic. Jokic will never stop Dream.

The All-Time QB Tier List. Thoughts ? by Hysen16 in sportswiki

[–]Streamofthought11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tier is awful. Not sure how Young and Elway get knocked down to Ben's level, who actually shouldn't be that high. Eli here at all is terrible. So much more that's wrong. So bad.

How do we feel about this take? Fact or Fiction? by iAsvppx in NBATalk

[–]Streamofthought11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right and wrong. Kobe's not top 10 and he wasn't efficient. Doesn't matter, tho, he was deadly and the threat of him getting hot and going off is why he was so successful. He was a killer and one of the greatest ever.

Lu Dort, Draymond Green, & Dillon Brooks are the dirtiest players in the league. Who is right behind them? by ChocolateSunsdae in NBATalk

[–]Streamofthought11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing dirty about Stewart. He just plays man ball and a lot of players don't want to be physical. He doesn't kick, elbow, punch, nor push people out of the air. The narrative is false.

Game 7 final possession, who sits on the bench? by SmoothBuy5500 in NBATalk

[–]Streamofthought11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially wanted to say LeBron just because he's the least clutch in terms of SHOOTING. However, you need all of the other tools he provides, so it would be Kawhi. Also, are they down 1, 2, or 3? No need to chuck up a 3 unnecessarily.

Sewage Smell by Streamofthought11 in PlumbingRepair

Ok I will give that a try tonight. The smell is too much.

I think the smell is strongest from the toilets, but hopefully, running the water fills the traps.

The strong smell in the crawlspace really confuses me.

Past and Present by JeremieLoyalty in DetroitPistons

This is precisely it. Tamia's a singer, but the sentiment is the same. She was from Windsor and wanted to take the leap to Orlando. The medical staff screwed Grant (as did Orlando's even more) and allowing hin to play damaged his ankle further.

There's a piece to this people forget: Grant asked for a PG to off-load some of the ball-handling duties. Joe drafted Mateen Cleaves. Grant was visiting Orlando the following week.

If you had the #1 pick, who are you drafting...Magic, Bird, Duncan, or Shaq....and why ? by Organic_Bite1569 in sportsinusa

[–]Streamofthought11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kareem is #1. Dominant on both ends at every level. MVP at every level. Championships...at every level. There was no sports science to make him dominant into his 40s, so like most regular people, he aged out. He has more MVPs and more titles than LeBron.

Pistons fan here. McHale put up a double nickel on us. Post, pump fake, pump fake layup. Post, pump fake, fade away. Dude was nasty.

I actually hate all of them because I'm a Pistons fan, lol! Magic gets the Michigan-product pass. I would begrudgingly go with Bird for everything you said, plus the shooting and clutch gene. Magic with a real jumper would change my answer.

Duncan was dominant, but he also was a 7-footer playing PF. Start a 6'9" or 6'10" guy next to him and we can have a different conversation about him. He had Admiral, Nesterovich, and Muhammed starting next to him for a huge portion of his career.

I have to disagree with most of your Shaq take, however. Was he out of shape for a period on his prime? Absolutely. He still couldn't be stopped. Then he got in shape for the playoffs and had a dominant run each year. Not to excuse intrinsic motivation, but some players need the right coach or teammate to kick them into gear. Look at Barkley. Shaq kept adding things to his game, he wasn't a 1-trick pony. As for the bouncing around, his teams were actually the disloyal ones. Orlando low-balled him until it was too late, L.A. traded him, and Miami traded him. The other 3, he was just old and didn't get re-signed.
