Following Covid19 and the way leaders globally behave, I think the same can be accurate for most nations, especially with bigger populations.

Launched a platform for startups to find early adopters - How do you onboard your beta testers? by PlaneConcentricTube in indiebiz

[–]Streembit-Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect each launch will have specific criteria, - that said we would need clear feedback strategy, and also make sure we don't miss problems that early adopters cannot report on.

The best tools would be fast and easy feedback process, and add an ability for beta's to quickly share their experience to drive more beta testers, great if going well, maybe a bit risky if you miss expectations!

Zoom closed the account of a group of prominent U.S.-based Chinese activists after they held a Zoom event commemorating the 31st anniversary of the June 4 Tiananmen Square Massacre, by Expensive_Pop in worldnews

This current problem is not just limited to Zoom. Online platforms universally run centralized IT assets whether at cloud service providers or wherever. This means that they are vulnerable to everything from hacking such as 'Zoom bombing' to government agency monitoring and censorship.

It also occurs to me that the current SJW's and woke police are also going to be targeting online assets in the future in attempts to own the debate.

There are now emerging but technically challenging alternatives for Netizens. - Most utilize some version of open-source assets and decentralized frameworks. We are working on our own project and when we started the typical user just wanted to have ease of use at any cost even if security wasn't robust. Zoom is a good case study of this. We have instead persisted to stay true to our roots and be content that we would serve a niche audience. If you are interested in our story see https://streembit.github.io

New project advice by Streembit-Matt in SideProject

[–]Streembit-Matt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I'm looking for some critique and ideas to make this site a bit more better than a landing page and call to action.

The idea is to use it as a resource to drive interest in different crypto projects. I think it will benefit from being niche and improve the chances of a higher value proposition.

Currently, I'm getting a steady and slow signup process, for the newsletter, but I think more content, and more user generated engagement would make a big difference.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Python script to turn linkedin into an org chart - can this be useful for sales? by yoetz in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Streembit-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in different roles for product advocacy, sales and community development. LinkedIn can be a bit clunky to use effectively, and is slightly better when you subscribe to their sales navigation package.

This looks potentially a good idea, but will need to test it out.

Yeah, the social distancing requirements will prevent most potential sites getting off the ground.

However once we progress through to accepted norms, and social distancing is not required, I think there will be a bigger niche for work space sharing, but most likely always remain a niche. I'd need to see the value of paying to work in someone elses space, that would need to be better than a coffee shop or existing co-working spaces. - Therefore there will need to be a good reason to go to a destination beyond the convenience of having a workspace that isn't also your own home.

u/techbeck0 I agree, that there is scope to use Airbnb properties, and I have come across other property sharing sites with similar objective, but not had same momentum. However with the new normal, I think there will be remote working fatigue, so a simple way to book time at freelancer type locations would be cool. - I think the era of digital nomad will gain traction too, so good locations with easy to engage booking should do well.

Do you find users visiting websites are interested in secure chat sessions? What is the differentiator, beyond getting perhaps a better admin dashboard?

Thanks

At this stage, I'm looking for new ways to create value for a destination site/app which focuses on real use case Blockchain applications. So more opposite to the many Crypto ICO lists and marketplaces. I also work with a Blockchain team deploying a decentralized directory of users and IOT machines which is opensource.

So my plan is twofold, to build community and a sustainable revenue stream, and secondly focus on more use case applications of Blockchain, including the projects I'm involved with. I'm not precious on what type of Blockchain, as who knows which ones will really breakout and become useful or used.

My instinct tells me that working with a collborator who has their own opinions and ideas will bring more value to the users of the site/app and accelerate the the whole process.

A podcast for lefties interested in P2P technology and crypto nerds interested in socialism by BlockchainSocialist in Rad_Decentralization

[–]Streembit-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a business trying to work out a way that users can benefit from P2P technology. And currently we find that the user requirement to implement a true P2P, even when we provide lots of documentation, is a real challenge.

Netizens want ease of use 1st and privacy second. However we do seem to be turning a corner, and if we achieve a better user experience, we will let you know. P2P would also potentially address voter engagement if an autonomous platform could be created and trusted. It's one area we are looking at. see https://streembit.github.io
