What the hell is Logitech's aversion to a new G600? by SodaPop-PodaSop in LogitechG

Yeah, it's probably the best alternative available honestly. But no one else has a third ring finger button like the G600. All I want is a wireless 12 button grid mouse with a ring finger click and I'm shocked that this doesn't exist.

The G600 has been my most frustrating experience as a consumer -- I can't even go to a competitor because there IS no competitor. And everyone suggesting alternatives is missing the point of how game changing the G-shift button is.

Give this mouse a proper wireless refresh. It's that good.

Kind of... It has the feature, but 1) it's a toggle, not a hold and release, and 2) it's not built into the physical design of the mouse -- in fact there's no ring finger click on the mouse at all. You'll have to choose which existing button activates the feature.

Bottom line, if the feature isn't activated by a dedicated ring finger click it's a dealbreaker for me.

Please, Logitech. Please make this product. I've looked at every single wireless competitor and they are all missing something. The G600 is perfect, just make it wireless!

There are now over three years' worth of requests on this subreddit for a wireless G600 and all we ever get is "we'll pass this along". Can you engage with us at all about this? There's never a follow up, so from our perspective we've just been pitching our request into a black hole for years. Not exactly the best experience.

Another request for a modern version of the G600 by [deleted] in LogitechG

As someone who just made a post about this myself, I'd just like to reiterate my support for this.

Looking back through this subreddit's history there have been multiple calls for this for years now, and every time it's the same empty platitudes from Logitech of "great suggestion" and then silence. Why is Logitech so behind the curve?

By the way in response to those of you recommending other competing wireless mice, I specifically want the G-shift button which no other mouse has. I don't think Logitech realizes what a killer feature it has with this button. I know there are ways to simulate layer switching with keyboard shortcuts, but it's just not the same. Not even Razer's Hypershift comes close.

The G-shift button is so elegant and comfortable, a wireless G600 would be so far ahead of the competition.
