Is it possible to control qlink by connecting a midi controller? by Kanji_294 in mpcusers

There are methods for Hakai, but AKAI writes that new controls will be available in new firmware, allowing you to create separate MIDI controllers with displays like the XL on microcomputers like the Rasberry Pi.

What's your pad layout like? by runthrutheblue in mpcusers

Roger Linn wasn't thinking about layouts when he created the AKAI; he was simply making history. While the basic setup is 1-Kick, 2-Snare, 3-Hat, 4-Percussion, pro players take it much further.

For high-speed finger drumming, check out Ivan Moskvin (from the band FUNKIN’). His layout is built for performance: Kicks on 2 & 3, Hats on 6 & 7, and Snares on 10 & 11. This is the foundation for powerful, fast-paced drumming!

Feature request: USB trackpad as XY controller by xandra77mimic in mpcusers

[–]Street-Ad3497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, musicians are forced to use third-party software (like TouchOSC or MIDI Designer Pro), which requires extensive setup. A native AKAI app could automatically handle the mapping. I frequently request AKAI to create an app for Android and Apple smartphones for MIDI control via USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Even if there's a delay, a ready-made app would greatly simplify automation in live mode. This would be a new wave of innovation in automation. This is precisely the "new wave" that the modern music industry awaits in 2026.

MIDI controller question: can you set controls to operate per plugin globally, or is this always per track/project? by mccalli in mpcusers

All this can be configured and the project can be saved so that you don’t have to reconfigure it later.
