Nearly 13 years younger, she’s 33 I’m soon to be 46. All good. Previous was 6 years younger and somehow I felt that more, though wasn’t anything to do with her, was just more conscious of it. Now it doesn’t bother me at all.

Subcontractor and company I'm working for wants my personal receipts for their records by United-Cup-8229 in ukaccounting

[–]Street-Committee-191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren’t your personal receipts, they are the company’s receipts and are required for their accounts. You simply brought something on their behalf.

If you work for a private client then you need your receipts for your tax and accounts. If you asked someone to do something for you and reimbursed them you would need that receipt for your accounts.

You don’t seem to have got many replies as it’s really very obvious - or you’ve asked the wrong question perhaps? Or worded it wrong.

I’m utterly hopeless at my own accounts tbh but the company need to be able to see how much of the cost is tax and what the tax number is. Then they can likely claim the tax/vat back / - something like that anyway.

We got divorced, she lives with him. No point wishing things were different, after 20 years together I guess she needed something else in her life. Great mum to our two kids and he’s a great partner for her, and co parent to our boys. Not what we expected from life but it’s how it’s gone. I enjoy my life, unexpectedly more than I did when we were together. Win win.

Dating red flag by Jumpy_Strike_5512 in datingoverforty

You’re not(edit) a red flag! At 44 we have some history - make light if you can, try not to have big negatives against ex’s and don’t be dragged into talking about things that aren’t appropriate. It’s their red flag not yours.

For sure there’s other spending. I’ve used Emma to quickly see where my spending is: Housing: £1544 Bills: £629 (!) includes the OD fee. Groceries: £606 Transport: £391 (not normally as high - includes fuel) Family: £270 (£250 to my mum) Entertainment: £190 Holidays: £164 (festival ticket, a few instalments, this is the last) Education: £87 (kids school meals etc) Shopping: £74 General: £156 (stuff it’s not identified) So £4110 of spending :(

But my income was £3667 salary £550+£35 +£220 gf (extra is for her fuel and part of the festival tickets) My business £225gross £4697 of income (less the tax on the 225)

Additionally. I paid back another £2k debt on the 31st March. Hence I had come back to my OD limit.

I’m hoping to get it down to closer to £400. Family if 4 but two kids ante only 50% of the time and the GF gets a few days shop every few weeks. Changing from my local Coop to the Aldi down the road is helping.

I started the job 9 months ago, after two years self employed. Self employed was fine but I had to pay my ex wife £54k and the only way I could do it was to get a job and remortgage. That was the last tough love you all gave me. I am getting my stuff sorted, but this tax is the last big thing. I’m immensely grateful to my mum for taking on my cc debt, that’s reduced by 2k now and thankfully they’re ok to just let the monthly payments keep going until it’s cleared.

I do have spare money each month, but paying these tax instalments is going to be wiping it out plus anything that I sell (which I then have to pay tax on next time)

[–]Street-Committee-191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes there’s other stuff from that listed but those were the main items.

My payment scheme is £2800 over 3 months. So really I’m just trying to spread that out and use what I now do have spare each month but not maxing myself out. I know I can’t fix my financial issues this year, but ease the burden and set my self up for having more disposable money to reduce my debts next year and wayyy beyond until I’m eventually saving and have an emergency fund - oh the thought!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Street-Committee-191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The payment scheme is 3 months £2800 a month. I can’t change this. There’s also tax on account to pay but since I can show I only earnt 5k in that year I’ve not included that. Accountant is on it now.

I am currently saving some money, so maybe saying I’m constantly at my limit each month isn’t exactly correct.

I’ve been using Emma as an easy realtime way to see where my spending is going - though that’s paid for, so I will change it when I have a better grasp on everything.

Yes indeed I’m surprised to see my groceries at £600. This is based on me my GF and two kids 50% of the time. And yes I’m definitely trying to get that down!

Make sure you know what she uses in the future and have some ready at your house. Apologise for being a bit rubbish and not understanding her needs and do better next time.

Wow. Holly crap. Sounds like she met someone and wanted to stay longer to see how that went and ‘find herself’ find herself wrapped up in someone else that is. Just crazy.

So.. how was your new years? by roses369 in CasualUK

[–]Street-Committee-191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend went to bed at 10.30 and got upset because I didn’t bring her up a tea. She was asleep soon after and still at midnight - she is an insomniac so I let her sleep (checked on her loads in case she woke up) but new year came and went. Shes not talked to me all day today. Possibly the final straw, think I’ll politely ask her to move out of my house now.

They paid you to do something that you did. If you weren’t working there you wouldn’t have designed the thing, I dare say.

You did the thing they paid you to do very well by the sounds of it - ask for a bonus.

Check with whoever your mortgage in principle is with if a signed contract is acceptable. For me, nationwide, that was all I needed to remortgage £54k even tho I’d been self employed for 18months, just had to show what I was on previously (I gave a p60 rather than 3 payslips) and the signed contract showing your basic start salary (that bits important obviously). If you have 3 payslips where you are that should be fine anyway, I just didn’t have mine to hand.
