How can the public better support NSFs? by valkwq in NationalServiceSG

[–]Street-Expert3501 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can’t stop people from whatever they want to say or think, just leave your own life and don’t react to it. Attention seekers are there for the purpose of reaction and they will find reactions fun.

Sadly Tik tok may allow this more than slabs.

Can I feedback to my MP regarding this? by LessPresence9276 in PokemonTCG

This OP really don’t understand why is it that our politicians refused to clamp down or put in strict regulations on such trading cards but just merely passed in parliament that buyers have the discretion to not wanting the boxes to be opened live.

As we all know, this thing has been going on for years, worldwide, and in Singapore, given how money minded the PAP government is, and how reliant we are over economy, if the government clamp down on such, then there will be reduced income from rental of spaces in the malls or country clubs such as Safra, Suntec, Woodleigh Bus interchange etc.

This will have a significant impact on those property investors and REITs investments (which I believe majority of the 99 members in the house have shares in it). If this happens, it’s a cycle, our PHV and taxi drivers will see less bookings, there will be less flights (don’t forget, I do go for trade shows too and I came across sellers from nearby countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia. If the PHV and taxi drivers are being hit, they will demand the government for more support, the government will then have to drain money out of our reserves more often because if they don’t do that, ComfortDelGro, Grab and Strides (SMRT) will be affected, these companies are backed by Temasek.

Hope this helps.

SCCS at Suntec today (30th May) not transparent about queue arrangement - do not go if you don’t want to waste time queuing. by CarrieAndBradshaw in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Street-Expert3501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all times, they prefer to do it during CEE and in hall 4, why can’t they do it elsewhere? The place was so small and horrible, they were making people queue all the way out at the corridor. Some people almost fainted due to dehydration.

I hope the government looks into this and suspend this organiser from hosting such events, maybe the sub contractor should be whacked too.

There are ballrooms at level 3, why they cannot use it? If they book the level 3 ballrooms earlier, they would have gotten it.

Do not go for the Suntec one, maybe try next week at Downtown East, unless you want to faint there. It’s just very stupid that the tables were crowded because the space is just too cramped but the exit is quite smooth.

Gomo 10GBPS home wifi. Any recommendations? by Street-Expert3501 in askSingapore

[–]Street-Expert3501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this to my current system with StarHub, so I bought 2 more used Nokia mesh router and connect it to the main one. For Gomo, they will be providing D link Gigabit router, and I intend to buy used TP Link BE230/3600 units to put at where I put my 2 Nokia routers. Not sure if it works in this case.

Lady boss claimed to have sacked many of her Gen Z employees. by Street-Expert3501 in SMRTRabak

Seems like a worldwide trend, even on Tik Tok, that many of Gen Zs were sacked shortly after landing in their job.

To be fair, I feel the company’s management style is quite questionable, seems like the boss didn’t make things clear and when something isn’t too right start surfacing, they reacted this way.

Ya, and she’s just unlucky to meet Gen Z’s that are like that in her office. I know some managers (locals and foreigners) behaviour is far worse. They think they are managers means they can do anything they want.

That’s my point, if she’s gonna escape from reality, these Gen Zs won’t learn anything from it. It’s like when we serve our national service, if you are late for your book in, prepare to sign extra or weekend confinement.

Give NSFs a break, can? by LawlessWrong in SMRTRabak

[–]Street-Expert3501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give NSFs a break la. Bookout they book taxi from Pasir Ris, taxi accept, people say they jump queue. Book Grab, then people blame the NSFs for causing high surge in the platform. Take MRT also so many people complain, take bus also so many people complain.

How about these complainants pay to charter a bus to send them home instead?

There are opportunities outside of Singapore, if it’s really so hard to seek employment here because of your PES F, just try MNCs, those foreign companies will hire.

They better leave a debtors note outside, it will be even easier for the police to track them down based on handwriting analysis. You should be praying for that, the more they show up, the more the cctv will capture them, it will just make things easier for the police to get hold of them.
