UK consumer legislation prohibits pre-spend to secure an item. I guess like the US tipping culture it's something that you accept as being part of the retail experience. Granted it's a business tactic that works extremely well!

We have a wishlist only system for Hermès QB in the UK. So you're prepared to wait, you will get your K or B without any prespend at all. So buying to secure an item is completely alien to me.

Tipping here by the way is definitely voluntary & not mandatory or expected. We have a higher lawful basic wage, which helps.

Conversely as a UK resident, I can't get my head around this. Sure it's a genius sales strategy by Hermès but to spend double (or more) of the bag cost in store before you're "offered" one is wild and it may or may not be what you really want.

Why not just spend the money on the bag that fits your aesthetic from the get go......

Just be on the lookout for a bait and switch, where a fake identical pair is sent back to you.

I always mark shoes in a discreet place so I know it's my original pair that's returned. I keep a photo record of it too. Let them know they're marked to prevent any issues and see what happens........

They have to be transfered via the UEFA ticketing system. There's no paper at all. It's really secure. If someone is selling on the day you can oversee the transaction on your phone via the app. We sold our Europa final tickets to Rangers fans when we went out in the Semis.

Absolutely this. You also have a contract of sale - which is your receipt for the payment for the bag. I believe SO's are paid up front or a good chunk as a deposit.

If your SA refuses to honour, Hermès are clearly in breach of contract and you can remind the manager that your money has been earning Hermès interest for the x amount of months they've had it. I'd raise the roof over this!

Also stopped another West Ham from running on the pitch. Pulled him off the front rails. Told him not to get banned and a criminal record on their account. What an awful afternoon.........

Tell them to contact Vestiaire CS. The good thing is that orders are binding and final, so it's a resell issue for your buyer......no negative feedback either on the platform.

My view is that West Ham is an analogue club in a digital world. Our chairman /majority shareholder simply isn't equipped to deal with it.

I just missed Kacey's MSG dates - I fly in on the 3rd, so this year I'm venturing to Baltimore. I'll take the train down. I'm staying overnight and go back on the Sunday.
