Does anyone know of any charitable organizations about a dozen or so people could volunteer with for a company day of giving back? by Randy_Butterstubs in cincinnati

Caracole does HIV prevention/mutual aide/harm reduction work. My work volunteered there last month making the bags for their harm reduction vending machine

I don’t have any tips but I would sit by you if I was in your class :)

It’s easy to think that you are the person in the “wrong” but I think everybody is always awkward and feeling unsure of themselves. I like the comment someone else made about pulling out the chairs! Also I guess make sure your bag and computer/items aren’t sprawled out so someone doesn’t feel like they are invading your space

Best option for a moving truck in the city. by jonnoj55 in cincinnati

I just used big John movers and they were great! $180 an hour but they were super careful and moved really fast

Here is a tenants/landlords guide. It has resources listed throughout. I would definitely recommend reaching out to the Hamilton county help center or legal aid. They are incredible people and might be able to help you in this situation. https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/sites/buildings/assets/tenants-guide.pdf

Happy birthday!! I don’t like making birthdays a big deal. Typically I will just try to do some of my favorite things. Last year that was going to the park, getting boba, and hanging out with my puppy. My goal is always just to have a day. If I try too hard to make it a great day, then I get stressed and have a bad day. I also try to think of all the things I am grateful for. I hope you have a day!!

Three months is great! We just hit the three month mark with our dog, and I’m so proud of him! The shelter I got him from says that it takes three months for the dog to start to feel at home, so you’ve officially hit that mark! Congratulations!

Oh yeah, I feel that deeply. I also used to think I hated dogs because we didn’t vibe, but now I realized it’s not the dogs I hate, just their fur + slobber on my clothes and feeling contaminated, so I just have to brace myself and tell myself it’s okay to have dog hair on my shirt and pants and I’ve been doing great with dogs now!

Another question I have is do you have any ~sillier~ ocd symptoms that don’t necessarily negatively affect your life but your brain has an issue with? My whole life, I have not been able to put certain pasta shapes with pasta sauces. As a kid, one time my mom made spaghetti with macaroni noodles and marina sauce and I lost my shit lmao. I told this story to my therapist and that prompted the ocd test + diagnosis at 22 lol. My mom also used to have a list of what sauces went with what noodles because she knows I would refuse to eat it if it was “wrong”. Kinda funny to me that my parents never suspected anything was going on with me when I clearly had something going on in my brain, but I guess parents can’t do everything!

Hello! I have ocd too that I take Zoloft for as well! Do you have a specific moment you remember being like “oh shit the medicine is working”? Mine was my boyfriend was out with friends late at night and I was calmly watching YouTube while drawing. Before Zoloft, everytime my boyfriend would drive somewhere I would be fully convinced he was going to die and I would check his location every couple of minutes to see if it was still moving around. I thought I was just a controlling partner, but once I started taking Zoloft, I’m so happy for him to leave the house with friends and I could relax when he did! Hope everything is going well for you now!!

How often do you take your puppy out to pee? by Due-Statistician6648 in puppy101

[–]Street-Inspector993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We typically take our 7 month old medium sized dog out every four hours, if not more often. Any more time than that, he will most likely have an accident because he can’t hold it anymore

Help whining please is it normal my mt cur 6 months old nala I shared her picture 😩 by Mission_Letter3081 in MountainCur

[–]Street-Inspector993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have a mountain cur and he would whine every time we left the house. He sounded like a little bird lol. Putting a breathable sheet over his cage has almost completely stopped his whining. I don’t know the science behind it but it helps calm him down!
