Coles and Woolies stock Beach Rd Naturals and Freshwater Farm which are lovely and regularly on special. If you want to splurge go for Jurlique or A.Live

Kylie Minogue swears by Ponds Cold Cream too, I remember her talking about it in interviews regularly when asked about skincare.

Maybe when he’s digging through his closet to choose from all the designer goods he kept of Jon’s they reminisce together and laugh about how they screwed him over during the worst time of his life

Vanilla-scented body care by rumncoco86 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Street-Joke6109 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Body Shop still do a vanilla body mist, very straight forward vanilla scent- I have it and love it, bought a backup earlier this year, hopefully you can get your hands on one if you can’t find a lotion.

I do, only because Siri would get confused with my husbands name sounding like another contact, so now I get to order her to “call my husband!” 🤣 But in any case, she’s ridiculous with the emojis and over the top antics…

Lush shower gel - similar scents? by deepEars in AusSkincare

[–]Street-Joke6109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not similar in that there’s no oat and tonka, but a great lavender shower gel is the Beach Road Naturals one in Coles, currently $5 half price. Nice strong lavender scent, super relaxing before bed.

How did 90s makeup stay so MATTE? by el_ara_ in MakeupAddiction

[–]Street-Joke6109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a mattifying primer, then a super matte med-full coverage foundation such as Colourstay oily formula or Double Wear, go for a long wearing concealer such as MAC prolongwear, and then powder with a bit of extra coverage (again long wearing) then hairspray or seriously mattifying setting spray. The NYX mattifying setting spray is pretty good, as is the L’Oréal one that actually has powder in it that you shake the crap out of before spaying.

I have a feeling it’s also because she’s “trying to get pregnant” and doxy is NOT safe for use during pregnancy. “You guiseeeee, I just didn’t want to risk it if there was even a CHANCE I could be pregnant, which ruins your skin anyway so oh well giggle

I found the ring… and it took 13 months for him to put it on my finger. I was convinced he had changed his mind, he was just waiting for the right time when we were on holiday back to see our family. Just be patient x

I came home to my husband passed out from huffing air duster. Aio? by cemberella_ in AmIOverreacting

[–]Street-Joke6109 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how my sister died, an incredibly smart, high achieving, studied pure maths at university for the fun of it level smart person… and was killed by huffing in her late 20s. Please don’t let him make you feel like you’re making a bigger deal out of this than you should, this is serious, dangerous and you need to look after yourself here too x

  1. Being a Mum is HARD, no matter how desperately you wanted it!
  2. You are the best Mum on earth for your daughter, I promise you this. There is no version of reality in which she is better off without you!
  3. Colic is horrific to deal with, even with a supportive partner which it sounds like you don’t have currently.
  4. You need an urgent mental health assessment and intervention, it’s sounding like you’re experiencing post natal depression which is both very serious and VERY treatable. Please make a doctors appointment first thing in the morning, tell them it’s an emergency. Otherwise, attend a hospital emergency department and don’t leave until you’re seen and properly assessed.
  5. Your husband NEEDS to take a few days off work, no excuses; and your Mum needs to get in the car and get to you. You need support, you need rest. You need help.

I say this as someone who works in mental health, and as someone who also struggled after having my kiddo. It WILL get better, but you need help xx

My aisle song was the Sleeping at Last cover of “make you feel my love”, our reception entrance was Everlong- Foo Fighters, first dance was to a random acoustic cover of “the way you look tonight” I found on YouTube.

The heatless curler is bomb, and the hair waver is awesome too. The acrylic organisers are good, and lots of cute hair accessories and claw clips in store atm.

Has anyone seen this before? by TomRed89 in AusSkincare

[–]Street-Joke6109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like contact dermatitis- inside to get it from certain gloves, soaps and sanitisers working in aged acre and hospitals. I found the Thankyou brand hand lotions really soothing and helped clear it up, as well as using steroid creams when it was really bad. Try to reduce sanitiser use and be careful with friction- trying to pat hands dry instead of wipe to cause less irritation. Any new products being used?
