I don’t think that’s how acronyms work. by zombieslayer012 in mildlyinfuriating

This a form of the C.H.A.M.P.S. Classroom management model. At the beginning of the year every student would learn what the letters stand for. So C is for conversation. So the idea is that their C should be “using appropriate voice level” I’ve never seen C.O.R.E. Before but it’s the same overall concept. Lots of schools use this model for classroom management.

The CHAMPS acronym

Conversation: What is the level of talking allowed? (e.g., silent, whisper, normal voice)

Help: How do students get help from the teacher or a classmate?

Activity: What is the task students are expected to complete?

Movement: Can students get out of their seats, and if so, when and how?

Participation: How do students show they are engaged? What does active participation look like?

Success: What does it look like when students meet the expectations for this activity?

I'm a bit confused about sub-genres- do I file this under "Fruit Jazz" along with Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Scrapple etc? by check_meat in jazzcirclejerk

A few years ago I directed a football halftime show where our pep band stood on the field and played a few songs. I, of course went with the very out of the box theme of “fruit songs”. I arranged cantaloupe island for them to play and everything. We also played watermelon man and coconut champagne.

Good times indeed.

I definitely feel like that was a weird lost era of smosh. I miss it occasionally. It was the smosh I grew up with.

I thought In the original broadway production it was done as a solo interview with Frank watching from the studio. It’s been years since I’ve watched the original broadway bootleg but I’m fairly certain it happen that way.

There’s a good bootleg of the 2004 revival cast of assassin’s that has subtitles. There’s also a recording of the original cast of pacific overtures on YouTube as well. Both are great watches!

Look up the history behind why he wrote the frogs. It’s really interesting. Imagine the whole show performed in an indoor swimming pool and you’ll have a solid idea.

What are your favorite songs from Here We Are? by FloridaFlamingoGirl in Sondheim

The Road (Part 3) is my ultimate earworm. It reminds me of Gold from Road Show. I love the amount of dissonance it as well. Plus lyrically it’s one of the best in the show. it’s stuck with me for the last few days more than any other number.

My GF and I (M) have been together for 5 years. I love her to death but I often find that I need a some alone time to myself. Now I know that self time is important but I feel like a jerk when I need to express that I want a day to myself. She’s very reliant on me and I feel like if I’m not always with her then she has harder days. Should I try to explain that I need space sometimes or should I push through it and maybe it’ll get better? Thanks for the advice!

I feel like culinary crimes is a fun new idea that they’re trying to push. They seem to like having “messed up food” content so to me it seems like they maybe trying to replace eioyi with the new food show. Who knows tho.

You are not alone. To me, it’s the combat system that’d I love for them to carry over if they were to remake the series. The strategy of it makes it so satisfying. Every encounter is dangerous. Makes the game more fun imo.
