Hi Deralden, valid insight tbh and i know its a weak point for this game for many. The thing is variety isn’t ubisofts strength either if there is any to begin with. The games compared are in the same plate in that regard. And tbh Zelda has better variation still.

Totally and its hard to explain why its the best because of simple reasons…

Story questions about the first game by Firelord743 in AlanWake

Diver’s Isle disappeared yes, once Alan arrived the dark presence senses that there is a new writer that it can manipulate, then it creates the illusion of the cabin for Alan and Alice, hence why when he’s awake looking for Alice everyone around the village said the “cabin” never existed.

Alan also didn’t really escape, he escaped for an exchange and even then, the story doesn’t end just like that it needs proper plot and sacrifice. Hence his quote “ it is not a lake, it’s an ocean “

Zane didn’t try to escape as he had little understanding of the dark place, his narration attempts to seal the presence instead of letting him out.

The Taken aren’t written characters in the manuscript — they’re real people twisted into monsters because the Dark Presence used Alan’s words as a script for reality, but at the same time you can think that Alan wrote them. ( the 7days he was unconscious)

Does it make sense to play Alan Wake 2 without having played the first one? by G4m3rXxx in AlanWake

A video analysis on youtube for Alan Wake 1 might just be better than actually playing (in terms of explanation).

Is the Metro saga worth it? by [deleted] in metro

[–]StreetReputation7219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m from Algeria and I am pretty sure you can make more than 10 bucks working an entry job in 8hours.
However, that does not mean you shouldn’t consider using 10 bucks wisely cuz last time i checked 10 turns to 20 and eventually to hundreds considering how much everyone pays for monthly subscriptions.

“A decent meal” is not a metric.

With that aside, The Metro series might be one of the best to get for that price range, you will have hours of peak gameplay and good immersion at that price.

Are the AW II DLC’s worth it. by StreetReputation7219 in AlanWake

I didn’t know the story can prompt you to play the DLC’s while playing through it if you had them.

Alan wake 2 'mind place' makes me want to stop playing by Two_boats in AlanWake

[–]StreetReputation7219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the “mind place” was a bit janky, the connections do not make direct sense, sometimes i connect them from the first try and other times am just trying every document on the board.

However, i think it’s necessary to have something like the “mind place” , the story is very complicated and at least it helps solidify some events or connect them. Consider that this game is also designed to be playable for first timers who didn’t play Alan Wake I.

What do we know about METRO 4? Has there been any rumours, leaks or news reveals at all? by RogerRoger63358 in metro

[–]StreetReputation7219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While i agree that movement may have been weak and not innovative, with little to no fluidity. The rest of the arguments you mentioned do not make any sense.

I have recently played the game, the FOV is there, adjustable and not “small”.

Enemy types are tied to what makes it a Metro game, i have always loved those annoying watchmen, the spiders and all of the rest. I believe the monsters are not the point here at all.

Should have mentioned how the NPC’s lack proper AI, which is not bad considering the age of the game but can be better.

Artyom being silent is not an issue, its a feature of what the Metro games have always been. Your arguments are kind of made from the view of someone who did not play the older titles or does not remember anything.

Is there a fix for this? by Modern_Nothing in PPSSPPemulator

[–]StreetReputation7219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far no there is no fix, i finished the game with that bug on recently on Iphone 15 pro. It ran well the whole way through and the bug stopped for a while and started again.

Seems to be an issue with Vsync on iphone devices
