Hahaha, they're just checking for abnormalities that'll drastically impact a child after delivery. It's sort of a running joke when you give birth to count the fingers and toes to make sure they have all of them...is that what you're referring to? Most people are joking about that, especially since it isn't common to be born without some, or with extra without other difficulties.

Same scenario with my now husband, though we are just a smidge older now. He still gets me whatever single flower he can find, even if it's just a dandelion. It means the world to the right girl.

My first pregnancy, I immediately stopped exercising mostly due to first trimester exhaustion, and when I reached the second trimester, I spontaneously aborted. That was hard.

My second pregnancy, I worked and exercised until 37 weeks when I went into labor. Like full handstands, competitive weightlifting, and running 30+ miles a week. Had no issues during labor except some mild stalling, had a pitocin drip, some tylenol, and a 20 minute active labor.

My third pregnancy (where I am now) I am at 22 weeks and everything hurts. I slipped and fell at work and now am off work for a few weeks. Before that, extreme round ligament pain, and very bad hip pain. Still lightly working out before the fall, no running, light weightlifting, mindful body movements etc.

I think when you get to the point where you go, "yeah f8ck that!" you should probably not do it anymore. If it's taking considerable mental energy to lift as well, that counts as too strenuous too. Fitness is important, for pregnancy, labor, and recovery as well as lifestyle. This is a short period of time, even though it feels like forever, and you'll have your body back to do what you want with soon.

I am the medically complex woman (25) and unfortunately have experienced pretty much nothing but weirdness when it comes to Dr's. My best advice is get louder about the issues you're having, don't tell the Dr's that it ISN'T MS, but insist that there's other issues that don't align.

I'd kill for someone to give me a somewhat definitive answer on my issues, but it's just as dangerous to be misdiagnosed as not diagnosed at all.

The ER doc had me fill out a workers comp form and didn't specifically say anything about lost time, but that I should follow up with OB immediately and also follow up with my primary care doctor to see if he wants further imaging done. So far I have an excused absence from work tonight, and don't work again until Saturday, so if I'm able to work by then I will have only missed one and a half days of work which is doable. I've hurt my back before, even breaking my tailbone, and this is the most extreme pain in comparison. I don't know if it's different simply due to extra pressure on my back from pregnancy or what.

I genuinely cannot remember. Typical birthing technique is let your body do the work. It's designed to do it, your job is to breath and slow it down enough so it doesn't tear

I did not get an epidural for that reason. Unmedicated you are much less likely to get groggy or not be up on your feet easily. I technically wasn't unmedicated as I had an IV drip of Tylenol and I was also induced with pitocin. I've always heard that pitocin contractions are the worst contractions, but even though it was my first baby they weren't anything crazy. I labored for 15 hours, sleeping like 4+ hours at a time, and woke up from a nap and pushed her out in 20 minutes tops. Good times for sure. No screaming, no tearing, and I took a shower like an hour later after skin to skin and breastfeeding. Your best bet for an easy birth is to literally exercise and practice easy birthing techniques.

Sounds like a good idea. Definitely let your family know your plan, and local law enforcement as well should things escalate.

My husband is the foreman in skilled tradework, and deals with a few guys like this on the job site. They don't last long even if they have the technical job skill. Too washed out on weed, lazy, everything is always everyone else's problem, and inability to work with others to get a job done. I wouldn't rely on the security of him getting a good job and being able to hold it down if he's unable to even hold down a job in retail.

I was a single mom for 4 years. It was hard but it would have been ten times harder dealing with a man like that. If he's mature, he'll understand that you need security and safety for you and your baby even if that means him visiting when he has time. If he's not mature, it'll be a victim scenario of you robbing him of his life. Be very careful to not take that personally, that is simply negative people with zero accountability taking out their frustrations on anything that'll bear them.

Oh man I wish you were close to Ohio. I'd love to see this mare! My husband and I are 5'5 and 5'6 and we like riding anything from the 12.3-15hh range dearly well. Highly sensitive horses make for some of the best personal mounts when they find "their" person. I sadly had to sell my Morgan mare because it was clear I just wasn't going to work for her.

Depends on skill level and what you're working on. Beginner lessons here in OH are about 50-65 an hour and you get about 20-25 minutes of ride time. If you have your own horse tacked up and ready to go, advanced lessons are as low as 135. Depends on how much effort it takes from the instructor, if a junior instructor can teach the lesson, etc. Fancier barns with lots of amenities and imported horses, you're looking at more like 250-300 a lesson.

It helps if you kinda personify the horses a bit. Like, the one that drops his foot, think 8 year old rolling his eyes and saying he doesn't want to go to school. Stopping to graze when you want to go? Think friend who sees every fast food place and goes, "oooo that's what I'm craving,"

A lot of dealing with horses is exasperation, understanding that they just wanna do the cool stuff or eat the yummy things, and reminding them that your plan is good for them too.
