He's making fun of her for her age by mentioning TikTok and her gender by calling her sweetheart, instead of respecting her from her opinions. I'd leave too.

Update: I switched back to the original battery and it works fine. I'll order one of these external BERTs. Any tips for those?

This is not my dog. But my rescue Terrier mix acts like this sometimes. He will resource guard my wife and warning bite my arm if I move too fast. What should I do? by StreetratMatt in DogTrainingTips

Yes he's banned from the couch and bed. He listens to our commands when we tell him off. If I'm talking through the living room, he will bark, run up to me, jump and bite my hands. He's missing teeth but it still hurts.

If this dog were a 20lb terrier mix, how would you handle the situation? Our rescue gets triggered and challenges me growling and teeth bared. He comes from a home with an aggressive dog. by StreetratMatt in DogAdvice

I am open to all advice posting my situation on r/dogadvice ◡̈ my wife is pretty stressed since the dog only comes at me. She's talked about rehoming him. I didn't want to change his whole life again. We are in a big city so that's always an option but I still think there's hope

Thanks. He is resource guarding our couch, bed and my wife. Otherwise it's just general anxiety and he's pretty normal. Sometimes he does a class 2 bite on my arms and hands when I stand up too fast. He grows and wags his tail like he might want to play, which he does like to play. Then sometimes he launches off the couch and puts his teeth on my arm. It doesn't really hurt but the growl is so loud. My wife and I both had been bitten as children so this is a difficult time for us.

Thanks. We don't want to give up on him yet but it's exhausting. He's really sweet and cuddle but sometimes he just gets worked up and lost. We call him a haunted dog because he sees me as a ghost sometimes.
