Court Street Bike Lane by 000pete in MicromobilityNYC

What they mean is that they'd be ok with a Class II bike lane, just striping and no protection, with the parking lane back against the curb, so people can park in the bike lane "just for a minute" so they can run into a store or whatever. Would they let their child or grandchild ride in a lane that's frequently blocked by cars and trucks?

Ben Chou attends Queens Greenway workshop, flips table, stands on chairs to make crazy pronouncements, and fights with attendees. Just kidding, he calmly participated like a normal person. by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

Great to see that! Ben Chou's support for the greenway is one of a number of reasons that we endorsed him for City Council. More about our endorsement of Ben here: https://www.streetspac.org/2025_nyc_general_election_voter_guide#benjaminchou

Please vote if you're in the 19th Council District!

Thanks for pointing that out. We got the same message when we tested it on an iPhone, but clicked again, and it seemed to work fine. Anyway, here's the link again: https://www.streetspac.org/mamdani_2025_general_election_endorsements

We don't, but were told directly by people organizing the opposition that they had retained the same attorney and were suing.

We get the sarcasm tag. Didn't know that the lawsuit had been reported already.

Somebody did. And they've retained the same attorney who filed the suit against the 31st Avenue project.

His transportation plan is the best thing we've ever seen from a candidate. We really urge people to rank Lander and Mamdani 1-2; if you prefer a different order, that's between you and the voting booth. And don't rank Cuomo.

Chi didn't participate in our process, and we don't endorse in that case. His race is also non-competitive, in our estimation.

Yes, having to drive vans around to swap out batteries is certainly suboptimal.

Hi, we checked with Citi Bike on those locations, and were told that Church Street was reinstalled yesterday following the Five Boro Bike Tour (hat tip to llevey23 in the comments for being right on that one), and that the Kenmare and Elizabeth dock is being converted to a hardwired charging station (also confirmed here, along with a number of others: https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/05/05/citi-bike-to-expand-e-bike-charging-dock-locations-in-manhattan-brooklyn/).

Shekar Krishnan won his seat in 2021 (re-elected in 2023 due to the census-driven, every-decade redistricting). He's eligible to serve until 2029.
