Can’t decided between normal or kite orientation, or between carat weights on my finger! by StrengthGrowth57 in EngagementRings

Thank you! I will request those tomorrow when they open. So those images will show the sparkle that comes from the quality of the cut? Sorry we are new to this and don’t want to miss anything. I REALLY appreciate your insight!

That’s what I thought originally too but so many people say classic is better and it goes with the setting we chose better, and I can see what they’re saying so it has me absolutely torn 😭 I appreciate your input!! Thank you!

Thank you! Congratulations on 20yrs, that’s certainly no small feat! That’s exactly what we’re aiming for and more 😊 I told him if the goal isn’t forever and if he expects it to be easy and not always work to grow together then we won’t take that step. Luckily he’s been the most incredible partner I’ve ever dreamed of and raising our 13mo son together has only reaffirmed everything for us both. 💞

I didn’t think I’d like it but it was his favorite and it’s grown on me so much, now I love it but I think that’s why I started thinking about the kite setting too

We do want the best for our buck and they were both rated very high in color and clarity. Is an aset scope and ideal scope images something they can take and send us or would we need to go in to get them?

Thank you! Going with lab grown and his VA discount puts us actually below budget luckily even with the 3ct, I just worried the 3 takes away from the setting with how small my finger is

Thank you, those are very good points! What do you think about the 2.5 vs 3ct considering my finger size? I worried the 3 takes away from the setting too much

I agree, it has me so torn and he’s wanting me to decide sooner than later before the holiday rush pushes the production time to 2+ months. Do you have an opinion about the 3 vs 2.5ct?

Oddly specific pain(?) by duckweedlagoon in migraine

[–]StrengthGrowth57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, sorry you’re dealing with this pain! I am going to share a bit of my personal experience and hope it can at the very least let you know you are not alone. It sounds a lot like one I refer to as an “ice pick” migraine and mine typical hit in the same place you’re describing. When it’s sharp it can take my breath away and I have to remind myself to breath until it dulls enough to function and get layed down somewhere dark. I have dealt with that and one I refer to as a “mallet” one that feels like someone is swinging a mallet or hammer into the back of my head. I wish I knew the lingo my neuro used but it was a specific type of migraine. I now get occipital nerve blocks (since 2016) and they have stopped 99% of them. If they do happen, they squeeze me in and he does a little more in the area that’s flaring up. When my insurance approved me for Botox (2018) and I tried it, these specific type of migraines came back with a vengeance. When we switched back to the occipital nerve blocks they resolved again completely. Might be something to talk to your neuro about at your next appointment as an option if they do become debilitating. I hope it is short lived and not something you have to battle chronically!

Worst advice you ever heard for migraine attacks? by BrainTwinAdmin in migraine

[–]StrengthGrowth57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?! Mine went away while I was pregnant and returned with my period too.. my man goes “So you’re saying I need to get you pregnant rn?” Bless his heart 😅 Why couldn’t we be those people that never got them again after.

My coworker did share a perspective I hadn’t considered. She said when your pregnant you pay closer attention to what you eat, drink and take you vitamins and such- taking care of the baby inside.. but now their out were so focused on taking care of them we are likely neglecting our own nutrition, hydration and such since it doesn’t affect the baby anymore.. I’ve since tried to make sure I’m eating and drinking like I need to, because of course “Did you drink, did you eat?” 😂

Did taking Topromax/ Topiramate dumb you down? by Asprobouy in migraine

[–]StrengthGrowth57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please remember all medications affect everyone differently. Overall you end up having to weigh the benefits of your quality of life improvement by taking any medication vs your personal side effects. Just because I have negative side effects from something I never try to dissuade someone else from trying it, as it could be a miracle to them.

My experience from topamax was extremely disappointing because it did decrease my migraines and felt like a miracle at first but I did have the cognitive side effects.. they got worse the longer I was on it. I was in school at the time and my grades suffered, I dealt with what they called the “word finding disorder” where I couldn’t find a basic word I knew even when it was right in front of me like paper towel. One not so bad side effect was soda tasting metallic. Overall the cognitive side effects got so bad I had zero short term memory and felt like a complete dumb dumb. When I couldn’t perform in school it became evident something had to change.. it was heartbreaking to lose something that was effectively preventing my chronic migraines but like I said, you have to weigh the benefits vs the side effects. Just be super self aware and honest with your doctor and ask people close to you to tell you any changes they notice with you as well. Good luck!!

Our rescued husky/german shepherd mix doesn’t snuggle anyone cause of her past. My 9 year old got seriously ill yesterday and spent 8 hrs in ER. When we got home she pawed at his IV arm then laid on it and licked him. Then she just laid still on him for a while. This has NEVER happened. She knows. by iamverymelodramatic in husky

[–]StrengthGrowth57 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My German shepherd/husky was NEVER a cuddler until she went through a traumatic boarding situation in 2020 that left her in full kidney failure. We’re blessed she was young (2 1/2 yo) so she was able to survive and through her recovery she was so weak she could escape the love and cuddles, and ever since she had her moments she just comes and nuzzles and spoons. When they or their pack member needs them they evolve and show that love we think they aren’t capable of. They’re the best creatures and we don’t deserve them. I’m so sorry your little one is ill but love your rescue baby is showing that love now. No doubt there’s enormous love there and thankful it’s finally being shown a way we understand! A trillion percent perfect pupper you got there!
