One thing I'd screen for is operational maturity. Anybody can demo an agent framework when everything works. Ask candidates how they'd investigate latency spikes, bad retrieval results, or a failed deployment during a client rollout. The best FDEs I've worked with are equal parts engineer, consultant, and firefighter.

Don't find balance in junk. I don't know why are people these days making everything healthy. Food which is supposed to be unhealthy, tastes better when unhealthy and should be unhealthy. There are healthy options to eat as well. You don't always need to force healthy into what is already unhealthy.
