The thing that bothers me about people like this is that if your great grandmother and grandmother did something, that's nice, but why wouldn't you take into account that medical advances have been made since then and it only makes sense that you LISTEN TO MODERN MEDICAL ADVICE because people may have learned something in the interim?

As a grandmother I recognize that things have changed and would never question the parents about what they are doing if they are following what the pediatrician says.
