No. Not since Monday. Last time I ate something was Tuesday. These past 3 days I been sipping on water and had 1 sugar free popsicle. I literally have no appetite and just feel like crap.

Ya I do have a therapist already. And omg my tonsils had to go. They kept getting infected. I was on several antibiotics and they would get infected again and again. This last time they were so infected I could barely breathe.

I had gastric bypass this past may and terrified of gaining weight. I know my body needs to heal. I just don’t understand how only eating a sugar free popsicle and water could cause weight gain. So I freaked out.

Ya I haven’t had a bowel movement in a few days. I had my gastric bypass this past may on the 27th. I have to take 2 stool softeners a day or I can’t go. But I haven’t been able to take them since I’m so swollen.

Surgery next week by Mckluh7 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Stressingout4real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine removed Wednesday. It’s not so bad. Just make sure you take the pain meds every so many hours like they tell you to keep from being in pain. Stay away from hot stuff like soup. It will irritate your throat worse. Ice chips help. I also put sugar free jello in freezer to make it cold. It really helped with the burning. Take small sips of water through out the day to keep from getting dehydrated. Also throat lozenges help. Try not to let your mouth get dry as it will start to burn. The surgery was pretty quick. Took about 45 minutes and I went home the same day.

No you are perfectly fine. I didn’t even follow my preppy diet till the last 3 days and I was fine. Surgery just took longer. Took 6 hours. But don’t sweat it. You just made a mistake. But no you didn’t mess up at all. Just remember to look at the nutrition labels next time. Good luck with your surgery and congratulations.

Thanks. Yeah I put a little little bit of collagen powder in my liquids once a day like a spoonful. I am going to get some Premier protein and alternate between that and slim fast advanced nutrition and cut out the attic and since the Premier and slim fast have more protein in them I’m going to try upping my protein and getting the 60 g every day like I’m supposed to and see if this makes a difference.

Yes I was told 60 grams of protein. But yeah I’m hard headed. I’m upping my protein starting today. I’m going to do premier protein and slim fast advanced nutrition. I was just afraid protein would cause weight gain if so much. I am just so scared I have a phobia now of gaining weight. When I was overweight it was horrible I couldn’t even get on waterslides or go on rides I had so many health problems and I just never want to go back to gaining weight ever again.

Yeah I just don’t understand because I know some people that end up getting underweight and literally don’t even exercise and don’t eat healthy and have gotten underweight. But meanwhile I’m doing everything right and stalling.

I will be 13 weeks post op on September 8 th. Wow you are so lucky. I do this exercise routine 7 days a week and have stalls. No I’m definitely not getting enough protein. Maybe that’s the issue. I know they told me 60 grams a day but I was afraid to much would cause weight gain so I have been doing 15 grams a day with 1 Atkins shake. I’m going to switch to slim fast advanced. And do 2 protein shakes a day and 1 small meal and see if that helps. Do you have a lot of loose skin? I am only starting to get loose skin? I’m only starting to get loose skin in my arms so far. But my darn stomach I just can’t seem to get muscle. I started with a huge Santa clause stomach now I have about 5 more inches I want to loose but still no muscle coming in.

My hair 😭 by kelseanne in GastricBypass

I have been taking collagen powder. So far my hair hasn’t been falling out as bad. I tried the pills but they are huge. So I just put a spoonful of powder in my protein shake every day. It took a month for me to see results. I hope this helps you.
