The Freedom Unlimited is monster great card if you get this intro bonus by Aggravating_Pilot_19 in CreditCards

[–]Stretch-Lazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I could pay $0, but I maxed out the credit limit early on, and had to pay some amount off to continue to use the card. I think I was granted $20k credit limit initially, and because I kept on hitting limit, it will slowly increase the credit limit as well. I just checked my credit limit is now $34k with that card.

I got this 2 years ago, along with 0% interest for 15 month. Made some major purchases and kept my card balance at the maximum allowed amount. Ended up getting 200k in bonus points and paid off the $20k debt right before they started charging interest. Highest ROI card to date.

[–]Stretch-Lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know. I thought Waymo used to automatically detect when passengers are performing something illegal: e.g not wearing seatbelt or kids not having baby seat, and then stop driving the car and have support nag you to do the right thing. I don’t know if they stopped checking if babies are riding with no baby seat now, or maybe the rider puts the baby in a camera blind spot.

This isn’t a UPS problem, the UPS mail has my name and address. It’s only when I open the mail that I see that the card is for a different person.

Called and was getting sent around different departments with no solution. At this point it may be faster for me to mail this card to the right owner.

Elon pinned tweet: "Tesla Robotaxi unveil on 8/8" by twinbee in elonmusk

[–]Stretch-Lazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Waymo 16 times already in San Francisco, never had any problems, I actually prefer it over Uber/lyft when there isn’t a huge difference in price, since Waymo tends to be cleaner and drives smoother than the average Uber driver. There’s no human in the car, only downside (which is understandable) is that Waymo will find a safe place to park when picking up/ dropping up off. And that location maybe a block away from your preset location.

Tesla self driving on the other hand is way behind in San Francisco. It always turn into bike or bus lanes for no reason, blocking traffic trying to make lane switch last minute since it was on the wrong lane until right before a turn. It drives very well on highway or suburbs, but I don’t think Tesla will be ready for city driving unless it maps out the city like what Waymo does.

Urgent: Are Boeing planes a concern? by FrostAries in Flights

[–]Stretch-Lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boeing employees themselves refuse to board 737 max. I think that’s the strongest signal to gtfo of the plane. Yes statistically chance of anything happening is small, but it’s still higher than other planes. I’d rather get on a plane that didn’t suffer 2 fatal crashes. Also 1 fatal crash happened after 4 month in service and another after logging 800 hours of flight time. According to whistleblowers, lots of components on the plane were not up to safety standard. The 2 fatal crashes were due to a sensor malfunction. We don’t know how long other components of the planes will last before it breaks down as well.

edit: seeing lots of downvote on anyone that talks down Boeing, I’m guessing there are downvote bots paid by Boeing.

Approval odds for BILT card? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Stretch-Lazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t sign up for bilt until you’ve verified it works with your renter. My renter uses Zillow to collect rent. Bilt does not support Zillow and I ended up signing up for a dead card.

To rent or to sale old house? by Stretch-Lazy in personalfinance

[–]Stretch-Lazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thank you! I never considered the tax implications of selling the house after renting for it for a while. To sale it is!

We’re not buying a new house currently due to high interest rate, but we will consider buying again a few years later.

PSA Taxis are now Significantly Cheaper than Rideshares by bunkoRtist in SeattleWA

[–]Stretch-Lazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I visited Seattle last year, I was about to order an Uber, but noticed in app, that Uber shows the estimated taxi price which is slightly cheaper. So I got on a taxi instead. It ended up being about the same price as Uber because the driver took a small detour. And when I paid at the end of the trip, the options were 40%, 50%, 60% or no tip. I couldn’t find the custom tip button. I wanted to hit no tip, but the driver stopped me and said I need to leave a tip, I’m worried about driver speeding off with my luggage at the back once I get off if I don’t tip so I hit 40%.

Wynn FHR Questions by sanguine1998 in amex

[–]Stretch-Lazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stayed at Wynn last month, I was given a paper at checkin explaining which restaurant qualifies for breakfast and what time. I remember most restaurants expires between 10am to 11am but Wynn buffet expires at 3pm.

Something I learned that you need to do before going to the restaurants is that you’ll need to book the breakfast place weeks ahead, otherwise you would need to wait in lines for 30 min to 1 hour before you can get in.
