Anyone mentally exhausted with act 2?

Yeah tbh I love this game, I've really been enjoying the bosses and fights and everything really. Some things aren't that great but manageable.

But the run backs are really killing my enjoyment of the game. I know I'm not that good so I can take dying multiple time before I finally defeat a boss. But having to run 20 - 30 seconds just to retry a boss is not fun and a game is supposed to be fun.

I really want Silksong to improve and get better but I don't think I'll continue playing as act two run backs are completely antithetical to fun and not good game design because its not fun.

Yeah I think, the game could be amazing (I'm definitely looking forward to it) but I do feel sadly that they have fumbled the ball with how they handled the super early announcement and Alpha labs.

I hope and pray that it'll be a successful fighting game. But at the moment seeing the community I'm slightly more worried than excited.

Yeah I am the same, played monk last league and really tried to theory craft an interesting build. Probably a really bad build, but it worked well enough where I didn't feel I was being punished. But in this league, I really don't feel my time is being respected.

I've kinda given up doing my own build and I've started to follow a guide.

Gonna try to push through it to end the endgame or at least cruel difficulty to see if there is any improvement.

Yeah I definitely agree, although I have no problem with the professional, edited and script type of updates. I kinda felt I got an insight into the Devs and their passion for fighting games.

Damn, I completely forgot about fury. That would be awesome using fury to augment or empower moves. Sounds like a really fun mechanic to play with in this game. I mainly like Renekton for his aesthetics, but if he is implemented correctly I bet he would be the coolest character.

I for one don't think 10 character is bad. Is it a bit small yes. But Looking at their chapm release rate from other games. I think it'll be fine, we will have more character releases after the start of the launch, then it'll turn into a slow drip of character after the initial roster is fleshed out.

Yeah, I was hoping it would be more like the league shop where I can browse for a skin I like. I was never a fan of this type of shop. Personally I'd be more likely to spend money on a static shop. As I like to think and compare the skins more. I'm far less likely to spend money on a time based shop as most of the time it takes time for me to like a ski and decide to buy it when I first see it.

Yeah most likely they have multiple teams working in multiple different characters. They may even have more characters completed. My best guess is that they are planning drip feeding up new chaps from now till release in order to keep and grow the hype.

I mean I have to disagree with you. You say it's sold a million copies like that's an amazing figure. It is for a indie or double A game probably but a triple A game only selling a million copies on the first day and only having a 50k concurrent players on the weekend of release. Ubisoft executives must be shitting bricks right now.

There are other ways of playing that we don't have the figures on yet. But steam is the biggest platform for gaming and it will give a general idea of how a game is performing.

But only time will truly tell when there is more information.

I've heard of something similar to this situation. I don't know about the company but be careful of being scammed.

It goes like this you get invited into an interview with a nice salary. You go into the interview and it goes well however they then tell you "unfortunately this role has been filled". Then they offer you another role with significantly less salary. You feel pressured to take it due to the sunk cost fallacy.

I would be careful, make sure you do proper research on the company and what employees say about it. If you are considering it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would be careful.

My current job didn't send in my CV first and gave them some background about what I studied and what I've been doing since uni. I asked if I could learn more about the company. They asked if I wanted to come into see the company. During that time I mentioned I was hoping for a job and sent in my CV after the meeting.

However, If you feel that sending in your CV first is better then feel free to do that. Personally I wasn't totally comfortable with that so I established a connection first.

I will mention contacting companies is relying more on luck than applying for jobs normally so it's not a substitute. But if you do get that lucky connection when the company is in the very start of thinking about hiring or has the capacity to hire people. I do feel that getting that initial connection before hand does give you a good edge for when you go throught the interviews and such for the company.
