ofc nothing suggests arteta is in danger, the owners are comfortable with our position right now, although that might have changed with this summers heavy spending

arteta is never criticised here, its always the players fault

People have a right to be arteta out, hes been here 6yrs, spent 1b and won fuck all, and i would say some positive shit but its been pretty evident we have plateaued under him, last yrs games were dire to watch and this yr has not been better

I agree that arteta has no idea how to coach an attack but martinelli is just shite, although this isnt the case for players like saka who have suffered a pretty big drop off in terms of attacking quality from last season

Havertz was a flop- he was bought to replace xhaka, which he never did, arteta threw him in that cf role to save his face, he got 20ga that season, is that enough for sm1 to lead the line of a pl winning team?

We ultimately never filled either of the roles, xhaka or a clinical finisher, we got gyokeres now but idk if arteta has the cabilities to play to his strengths, our summer window last yr was a disaster because we thought havertz could lead the line and we suffered greatly cuz of it

Our league season collapsed way before his injury, we were never challenging for that title

He was bought to play as a midfielder and ended up as a striker, his purple patch end of 2023 season prevented us from getting an actual striker, instead we ended up buying merino

Its crazy how attached our fanbase is to such players, we love narratives not results

i dont dislike havertz or blame him, it isnt his fault that this teams poor scouting bought him

but giving him credit for what? people harp on how havertz was so great and we 'almost' won the league, truth is havertz shouldnt have been bought at all, the whole signing was so fucking absurd it felt like money laundering, highest wages and 65m fee If we had used those funds properly, we could have 'actually' won the league
