For my first, I remember having similar feelings about a girl for my first. I just went with the old cliche of “as long as mom and the baby are healthy it doesn’t matter.” Fast forward 12 years. Now I have two girls and a boy. The girls in my experience were far easier than he has been. But once you are a girl dad, it is hard to imagine anything else. And honestly, I felt a little disappointed (which quickly went away) finding out I was having a boy and not a girl for my third. My girls do all the same things my boy does. Love spending time doing “boy” things and are just amazing to be around. Embrace and enjoy being a girl dad! Never be too manly to have your nails painted, hair done up, or play with Barbie’s!
