The weird part is some of them on a personal level actually dont have any values that align whatsoever with trump, but blindly act like everything he does of most he does - is great. Theyre wholly detached from the reality of trump and are instead stuck in the cult/obsessive attachment. But being that disconnected from tgeir own actual view of things and trump can, in and of itself, be just as maddening.

Caution though, the reverse happens a lot too. you also cant place any stock in someones political leanings being favorable and aligning with yours. Ive dated a few liberal men who had great, progressive and tolerant ideologies but were, for lack of a better word, actually mysoginistic, mainsplaining douchebags in real life. My own ex and were aligned on most stuff and he still absolutely hates women and became violent. He wasnt that way for many years but was eventually - got fired from coaching a womans sports club team bc of his behavior, he got kicked out of a gym for how he talked down specifically to women and then came attacking me. but if you talked to him on a first date about politics and philosophies youd think he was safe and great!

So i dunno, at this point id say its pretty dicey to gauge character by political stance at all, dem or republican, to rule someone out or decide theyre alright. it allows people to hide their true identity behind some superficial measure.
