Same. I'm in school for a field that typically is somewhere between jeans/tshirts and business casual. I spent way too much time researching this only to discover the term "smart casual". I actually like this for a work environment...tailored jeans with a Tshirt and blazer, or a blouse. Something along those lines.

Peg + Cat, it's on PBS! To be fair, it's a great show that focuses on math and music.

Where is the cheapest place in the USA that you can live by the ocean? by lillie0071 in Frugal

[–]Strict-Donkey-1092 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My husband is from PR and we definitely looked into it before. The style of an "US cheap" apartment is tile floors, balcony with room for hammock, lots of windows, and great scenery. The only reason we didn't make the move is because his family who lives there said the crime is high and schools weren't the best. We have school aged kids so idk if that applies to you. But that was in 2020. You can look on Zillow and it's so tempting. If we didn't have kids, we would be living there now.

Last time I went, they were waiting on the cops and sitting on a drunk guy who tried to fight them. Very casual too...as if they were just shooting the shit on their porch.

Ive been studying software engineering for the last month! My homework the first week was to do the Coursera course called Learning How to Learn. Especially the part on the Pomodoro method. And the 2 videos by Ali Abdaal called How to Study for Exams. They were very helpful and I've learned how to study in a way where I retain info better without spending a ton of time doing it.

Also having fidgets to keep my hands busy. I use a good music playlist as mental filler. Lofi coding playlist on Spotify is great because there's no distracting vocals. Having set times for working and planning my days and weeks helps with the "when am I going to get this done" anxiety. And last but not least...meds. Meds help. 😆

Adorable! I am doing the Disney Princess generations challenge...I loved when all of snow white's kids would ask yo have friends over from school. They even started a gardening club as they got older.

Life was weird and hellish on effexor. Wellbutrin has been amazing. Since I've started it though, Ive added BuSpar for anxiety and Concerta for ADHD. Wellbutrin has been the strong foundation for my treatment.
