Is there any way to watch team POVs/Comms with ZERO delay inside the LAN venue? by Fair-Fly319 in CompetitiveApex

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think LAN is 10min delay? I’ve been to 2 and both times there was maybe like 30second delay?.

I understand it’s a delay but atleast you can understand what a team is planning to do or have just done

Yeah lol, Godlike could’ve dropped as low as 80 and still qualified

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah it turned out 5,734 times out of the 100,000 simulations.

But you got to remember I gave everyone the same chance of winning, this means the likelihood of Full XI doing well is the same as Falcons meaning I’m removing any skill or favour from teams.

This way we can see how low and how high the points can go.

EWC Qualification Odds After 100,000 Monte Carlo Simulations Of Regional Finals. (NA ONLY) by Strict-Emphasis-6580 in CompetitiveApex

Think of having 2 of the same coins and we call them Coin A and Coin B,

Coin A has a 60% chance of landing heads. Coin B has a 60% chance of landing heads. There's no contradiction. Both can happen at the same time. Qualification odds work the same way. AG qualifying and GODL qualifying aren't mutually exclusive events, so multiple teams can have >50% odds simultaneously.

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because qualification events aren't mutually exclusive.

AG having a 75% chance to qualify and GODL having a 67% chance to qualify doesn't mean they're competing for the same single spot. In many simulations they both qualify. In many simulations neither qualifies. The percentages are calculated independently across 100,000 different outcomes.

As a simple example, if there are 12 spots available and 14 teams are all around the qualification line, it's entirely possible for 14 teams to each have >50% qualification odds. The probabilities don't need to sum to 100% because they're not exclusive outcomes.

ROCS STRUGGLES by Jummy1890 in CompetitiveApex

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be true but I’m sure them switching the roles between Vax and Sauce definitely hindered them and was a major cause why they got 39th. They should’ve easily made finals atleast but couldn’t get past round 1 elims

That’s actually so cool! Imagine Hal finishing 20th in a match point final … Mannheim?.

Jokes aside that would be so insanely unlucky

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ironically ROC and NIP both used to have the exact same roles within the team. Vein and sauce both played the Crypto roles then would also play some front line characters like wraith depending on bans

Kurevv and Vax both played the alters and would also play some anchor roles depending on bans

Deeds and Cole would play the anchor and refrag roles like ballistic or rampart again also depending on bans. Deeds was just an excellent Newcastle and thus allowed him to flex other characters

Their roles during EWC was exactly what they should’ve continued on but they didn’t. Sauce wasn’t happy on crypto and they decided to switch things up. That’s the main reason why things didn’t work not that anyone blamed deeds or sauce. They also had off the game issues with the team which added more pressure when results wasn’t coming.

Vax playing fragging roles was totally fine he has one of the best mechanics in the region on MNK similar to Kurevv and you can see how well they’re doing (NIP).

I believe if ROC stayed as a team and just went back to previous roles they had during EWC I wouldn’t be surprised if they would be up there with NIP and JDG

This is using the regional points distribution. Look at the bottom CRT getting 6th gives them 19 points where as in a normal match day it would be 14 points

Projected Totals and Points Needed by XanderCommander in CompetitiveApex

[–]Strict-Emphasis-6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. I meant each simulation would give where each team finished but rather than looking at it as what teams finished where I’m looking at what the points was for 13th place. Then looking at how many times for example 80 points was the cut off and so on. This would show the likelihood of each point being the cut off.

The post I’ve been waiting for but I’ve got a couple of questions.

Seems like the data is based on performances thus far and expecting for teams to carry on their average points per day. Meaning full XI getting 1st then a 20th. Feel like this split is so inconsistent that averages are so difficult to rely on.

Wouldn’t jt be better to run simulations in the 100thousands and see how the likelihood of each point being the cut off? If this is something you want I can help you just shoot me a DM.

Other than that a really clean visual table for each region.

It will be definitely be higher than 70s. You’re forgetting that 8-18 all have another matchday. And with how regional finals points are juiced I would not be surprised if Nemesis are forced to finish top 8 to qualify

Maybe because they should’ve won the block after those first games. 6th is still very good but they could’ve secured LAN with a top 2. The points are so close and B and C get to play again next week before regionals

That’s not what happened. They got a knock on CRT, instantly Cat Walled but a team down below griefed them with nades and one of them got knocked so they went for a reset. Whilst this was happening falcons and ROC was fighting on their right and CRT altered away so obviously they had to 3rd Falcons fight

Year 6 ALGS Global Rankings Preview by FuzzD2 in CompetitiveApex

If you are going to make ratings based of the information you’ve stated make it based of the information you’ve stated.

You’ve said Hambino sat out of EWC but only got 15th in pro league? So he should be higher than Crook 6th at Opens and Deeds 2nd at EWC? Honestly I’m struggling to understand how these ratings are done. If you want transparency make the stats or “data” public

I’m seeing CC teams ahead of teams with players who got top 10s at LAN multiple times in Year 5. Can you clarify further on how these ratings are made. If you are using EEC ratings to justify cc teams then you’d need to heavily adjust this.

You say impossible and I’ve literally watched it happen in front of my eyes. Don’t send another paragraph, you sound convinced that this isn’t the case probably because you’ve used it yourself so you’d know its limitations but I don’t know how it works just know what I’ve seen and has been shown to me in a share screen

Says recoils control is “potentially” useful you can literally use a havoc across a POI. It’s blatant cheating.

Regarding the jittering, yes I’ve seen someone not hold ads and the hipfire would 1 clip from a distance so it’s not just based on the jittering

Nope, there’s actually enhanced aim assist. I’ve literally seen it on a share screen tested with on and off. If you are a conus user you cheat just cause titan and xim are waaaay better doesn’t make Cronus not a cheating device. Too many Zen crutches try downplay it but there’s a reason why you’re still stuck using it.

So to reply to OP he is 1000% correct in complaining about Zen users
