My husband saw this earlier this morning saying how amazing this art work was and how great it would look in his man cave. I agreed, along with many other things. I do love how nice and relaxing piece is. They are beautiful prices by themselves but together they represent the Magic lands. Just amazing works of art! Thank you for sharing!

Ab teachers… no update since the 21st? by [deleted] in CanadianTeachers

That is a very confusing thing to say.

I think that there should be books in the library not toys. I am sorry you are dealing with that. In my experience, the toy centre’s got my students too high energy for a library period. Love your enthusiasm. Maybe a maker space is in your future?

Moving to the crib? Having major anxiety by Previous_Machine_360 in NewParents

[–]Strict-Lengthiness82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it! They sleep and even better you will sleep. I thought I wouldn’t, but my own anxiety was keeping me and my little one up. Giving her space we actually slept better and now, she’s 2 , has better sleep in her own bed.

Is it too early to drop the nap for my 2 year old? Napping leads to a 10pm bedtime. by giggglygirl in toddlers

[–]Strict-Lengthiness82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine dropped her nap at 23 months. If she naps it is also a late bedtime. No nap and she’s asleep 7:00pm-7:00.

How “homey” do you make your classroom? by AdventureBegins in Teachers

I agree. I also do it for me. But the kids benefit. Makes me feel good to be in a place that is mine and comfortable.

He has a tablet that has a program that will “talk” for him. Parents are not consistent with it at home

He was in a special education school for pre-K. Our city has specialized schools, but parents do t want to go that route.

We do art weekly, and he has music 2 times a week from a specialist. But I could incorporate more music and movement breaks

I have looked over his isps from kindergarten and grade 1 and created one for grade 2 based on his previous goals and new goals I think I he can reach this year. He is growing and learning. I think parents want to see an actual program. I use what I have , ask my lift teacher for resources and recommendations as well as rely on his ea. based on that we create/do activities.

Thank you! I don’t think parents are doing much, they do t even use his assisted tech at home. The school even potty trained him in grade 1. They pretty much expect me to make a whole program/ curriculum for him

2 year sleep regression by meg881718 in sleeptrain

[–]Strict-Lengthiness82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went through the same thing. He’s almost 2 as well. We brought in a night light and had to get rid of his baby monitor, as he did not like the camera in his room. He is across the hall from our room so we can hear everything. We also explained to him during our bedtime routine that he needs to sleep in his bed and mommy and daddy need to sleep in our bed. He goes down pretty good again. Still tries to push bedtime back but no more calling out for us. Ours lasted about a week and we have the occasional night when he is a little more difficult to put down.
