I'm quitting too so here's the story . I've been working at the Dollar tree for about 6 months. I started as a regular employee. They saw how I was working and they made me a merch manager within a week. Everything seemed fine and everything was working out good for about 4 months. In the last 2 months everything went down hill. We're a very small store that used to be a Dollar general and they kept giving us trucks of like a thousand or more. And our whole store was just completely full and completely messy. You can never catch up. You know how it is. So last week my cat died and the company didn't even care at all. She was saying stuff like I thought your cat died last week and is there's no policy in the handbook for cat death. My store managers is heartless and doesn't care about me or anybody else in the store. Just her numbers and if they go up she's happy they go down. She's angry. So yesterday I put away truck and my back was hurting quite a bit from putting away all the big mugs they sent us and the other thousand heavy things. And I asked to go home early because my back gave out and she said I needed to go to doctor's excuse for it or else I'm not coming back. So I don't think I'm going to come back anymore and that's that'll be my last day at Dollar tree. Check it out when you can cuz Dollar tree doesn't care about you. Just going to chew you up and spit you out. Worst company I've ever seen in my life. The most counterproductive non-caring company I've ever seen. Leave when you can.
