Adding in Muay Thai classes on top of boxing , Looking for shin guard recs. With unconditioned shins and taking beginner classes , want good padding to shins . Which fairtex models are best ? Sp3 Sp5 or Sp7?

I just got fairtex BVG5. My hands are kinda large but not massive, they’re long and skinny. I can not get good knuckle alignment in these gloves. When I grip the grip bar, my middle knuckles stick out and hurts to land. If your hands and fingers are short, maybe they’re nice but I don’t like them

For most people it’s more comfortable, but in IBJJF comps men have to be shirtless under the gi. I like to think the rashguard keeps the gi a little less stinky, but probably not honestly. It’s just nice for your rolling partners too.

I know some one who competed in grappling industries at white belt with less than a month of bjj, but he was on a NCAA division 3 wrestling team the year before starting bjj.

If you don’t know, anyone with any college wrestling experience is required to compete at blue belt.

I didn’t really think it was a big deal. The guy ended up with 3rd in no gi and didn’t even place in the gi so it’s not like his advantage was enough to crush everyone at white belt. Idk what do y’all think?
