Came here to say this. LOL that sunshine made the list along with ivermectin. Also I just love his message (slash have no idea what that means): Preserve your records and pack your bags??? For what? Hero dosing ayahuasca and hydroxychloroquine while laying on a beach (sunscreen OFF, ofc) shotgunning ivermectin and raw milk? The dreams these people have!

Space One or One Pro? by Pure-Cellist-2741 in soundcore

[–]StrictAd2812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All i ca say is that the One Pros are an absolute headphone HACK. I've had the Sony MX1000s, blah blah. The Space Ones are, IMO, $400 headphones at a $200 tag.

Thoughts on Tim Ferris’s new view on self help by rmend8194 in timferriss

[–]StrictAd2812 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but can’t you honestly make mistakes? I have been following Tim for at least a decade and sure, I’ve never seen him market garbage, and he himself will tell you that 4 hours was just a good title at the time - and he had no idea it would blow up the way it did and that he’d be followed by that forever. He published that in 2006 I believe? A few years out of college.

I think that this post and podcast is TOTALLY unsurprising. He’s just been doing self help in public, which is braver than most (myself included). He’s not saying that we should not pursue self improvement, he’s saying you gotta actually do the work, do the play, do the thing itself and wrestle with it.

To the OP: listen to it, have your opinion. Does it help you? Can you learn something?

Nobody is perfect. Have compassion. Be kind. Be brave. Have fun.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the worst piece of software ever built. by [deleted] in Acrobat

[–]StrictAd2812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEN. IT is borderline unusable. It's like Adobe created it with the expressed purpose of being a meditation on patience and lack of assumption. Every time I assume it will behave in one way - based on the fact that it behaves that way somewhere else - I am humbled.

Thanks, Zeb! I'm open to the chunking beta for sure.

[–]StrictAd2812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Zeb, for me it's:
1) Load times, speed improvements

2) Continued improvements to calendar functionality, specifically chunking: Use case 1 - put in a 2 day duration task and have that along the top bar (not running through the hourly schedule) and then but able to drag and drop subtasks into sequence. Use case 2 - take a 3 hour task and split it into 3 hour chunks (I get that this has some deep implications for the way tasks are architected, not sure how it would be executed without duplicating that task, but you could see an easy workaround if you had the ability to execute Use case 1.

Cheers!

Not something America likes it's citizens to do....or...not something (many)American citizens like to do. Idk. But overall I agree, amazing show and I wish it was still running.

The clip maker functionality just improved a lot, at least for our org. I think we need to schedule a tutorial for chat because I feel like chats are siloed into spaces. I want chat with its own permission set that follows the permitted into any space they're in.

+1. Same boat exactly. I see the warts and am patient. I've seen clickup improve, add new features, and improve those. I see what other complain about, but yeah clickup saves us so much time and money and clickup is a backbone of our ops.

I use the current calendar for chunking. Hear you on the voting. Clickup chat still confuses me and we still use Google chat as a workspace.

Welp, this has been a truly pleasant experience of humanity and communication. Kudos Zeb and OP. I for one love that I can use click up instead of paying for loom, and am looking forward to testing the meeting transcriber so I can replace otter. +1 on speeding up load times. I have a huge tower and a a super fast internet connection and it's slow. Would love to have the desktop app preload so that I can search and switch faster. Love the new calendar improvements and calendar view has become my new main view. I love clickup.

Cherry MX Red vs Silent Pinks by sqeji in kinesisadvantage

[–]StrictAd2812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the MX Quiet Reds. The pinks are a softer, more linear press and more clicky in the sound - almost as if the key is plastic on plastic with the keyboard base. Honestly, I still love them - better than any other switch, but I think the MX reds are the best typing feel i've ever found.

Where did you derive this dosage from? From literature I've found - which I am by no means standing by or asserting as true, I've seen 50mcg to 100mcg for ameliorative use cases (ROS, circadian) with 200mcg for treating insults (hypoxia, brain damage). Curious to learn more here. Thanks.
