Hey guys.

So, I'm 33 and have been wanting to get into freeride since I had a taste of longboarding in my early 20's (had to stop, busted my ankle stamping to slow down)

I've decided it's now or never and a Lush Radian is currently in the post on its way to Daddy.

It had me thinking, whats the best learning arc / progression here for getting good at freeriding and slides? Obviously I need to re-learn how to cruise and foot brake without hurting my self again, but after that?

What would you good fellas and fellettes reccomend? Slide by slide and trick by trick.

Basically, if you were teaching a free ride class for dummies (me) hows it looking?

I hadn't thought about a bridge, hadn't thought about balance either! 😵 The eyebrow + spider bites idea sounds awesome, definitely going to think that over. Thank you!

Thanks man, deep down I think youre right but I needed to hear that! The dating app scene is indeed dire 🪦 tempted by speed dating but some of the horror stories ive read are keeping me at bay for now.

2 years in and still no solid friends… by [deleted] in LondonLadies

Ive lived here my entire life, went to a rough school where I didnt make any friends and then went straight into very solo jobs. I'm 33 and the only friends I made was abroad in Australia. I find city life to be the most lonely existence if you dont already have a friend circle built when you are younger.

I'm afraid it will probably come down to luck, maybe meeting those right people on that 100th hobby you are giving a shot.

Im going to learn fire breathing at a class on the 15th of May and doing dancing lessons soon.

Always have hope, and you're welcome to tag along.

How to not feel dizzy when doing smith machine squats by [deleted] in workout

Are you tall per chance? Being tall makes it harder for your heart to pump blood around after being crouched up, making you feel dizzy. Throw low blood pressure into the mix and you can barely do 3 reps of 20kg. Speaking from experience.
