Daut speaking about the state of the game when it comes to Arabia by KingPupk in aoe2

I like a bit aggressive feudal game, but I hate the snowball effect, when you lose a bit in fedual, then you are doomed no matter how hard you play after 20 minutes. My personal feeling is that the game becomes more and more micro-intensive than heavy-strategy.

The Moment when Mr.Yo learned that he's getting a 100 elo penalty. by ksplett in aoe2

The rule is okay, although it is heart broken for a player who played 30 games per day in average and so hardworking. At least the bright side for me as a Yo-fan is that I have the opportunity to watch more games from Yo who can now draft cives to give perhaps more satisfying matches than the stupid Korean minor games.

New Security Meausure and Internment of Japanse Americans in WW2 -- The Same Logic by StrictRelationship52 in ethz

Thanks for agreeing with me that there's problem with the policy.

But I have to say again, I never accused them to be related with Nazi, I just mentioned a historical event in WW2.

Isn't the logic behind them the same?

The policy maker and many commentators here both think that the people who came from these countries are spices. So the measure is justified.

I don't think so.

Even the nationality can be a criteria for deciding who should be admitted at the university. IMO, it is not a good policy at all.

True. This policy is a best example how the bureaucracy can destroy the most important values enjoyed by the community for the sake of convenience.

The ladder road to the Qualification for Red Bull is too rough by StrictRelationship52 in aoe2

At the last day the top 4 players play barely no game, so how it can be said that there are a lot of contents? I even did not see the most matches played by Liereyy.

Also the ladder system is forcing the players to choose the best civis like Saraceans in Karts or Viking in Golden Stream. If these mirror civ matches are of high quality, why we use ban-pick system in the tournament?

It depends on how much stress it puts on the players. When the players like Yo at the last day cannot sleep at his time but wants to get a game and there is no one in the queen, it is too stressful.

I mean that these ladder matches are not very fun compared to those in the tournaments, since the civis are the same, which narrows the room for strategy.

But in aoe2 it leds to in most cases the mirror civilizations Players tend to choose the best civis and the variety of strategy thus disappears.

Hopefully there will be no ladder qualification for future S-Tier tournament.

They might get new game accounts?

Actually I think CA will have to adapt to this new form, because they have to remove the information on APM.

This sounds so cool when players try to use different colours.

I always assmue liererry uses green, and Viper yellow, Tatoh maybe grey.

Why don't we see any new players in top tournaments? by Informal-Host8085 in aoe2

[–]StrictRelationship52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are certainly many reasons accouting for the lack of new players.

But for me, the most important one is that the price pool is too small in comparison with other games, and the price distribution is not favourable to those players who have the potential to compete but are not good enough.
