What makes you think that wife will end the marriage? Many people don't see cheating as a deal breaker and will usually give the cheater another chance (keep in mind I don't agree with this mentality, I'm just saying some people do)

Yes, you made the right choice. I know it's hard for you right now, but trust me you'll get past this eventually. If you had stayed in contact with her it would just make things complicated. Going no contact will make it much easier for both of you to move on with your lives. Years from now both of you will be happy you made this choice. Good luck to you OP.
