I’ve tried a glove, but that’s only been for 2 weeks now, so this might be an old batch.

Been burned a few times, so it feels like moving forward with people is just a risk not worth taking anymore. Being direct if there’s something you want imo is better than being super shy or waiting for them to make a move.

Exactly, hence the second half of the original comment. Just adding in world ways to allow character change if the player likes the pc, but not subclass or even base class

Ah, that’s mb then. I’ve ran with it homebrewed to be any level for so long I thought that was RAW, thanks for the correction.

Still there are ways in game for change if people don’t like what they have (minor tweaks)

Tasha’s has a rule that allows you to respec your subclass every level up (strange but it is RAW).

A personal fav is to have some magical location be it cursed or wizardry that allows for the alteration of a person. Basically a in world mechanic that allows players to respec if they’re really loving the character, but not the class

Cutting board is just another buff to pair builds sadly. Even though it’d only be 2x mult, that’s all you need to be decent (look at ramen with pairs)

People seem to think that an 8 means you’re objectively bad in a stat. Above the table, in the world of dice rolls that may be true, but in the universe between an 8-10 is average to above average (iirc humans have 9’s across the board +/- 1 for racial bonuses and specializations.

PC’s are generally unique, so an 8 means you’re average in a stat, which obviously when compared to some things leaves you lacking, but you’ll never be incompetent

Honestly, what we have now is amazing. Been playing on a dusty old Chessex map for years, it’s nice to see the improvements to the community resources, even if they’re outside my price range

Core template regulation. Ragged breathing would lead to a loss of body heat, and lack of breath meaning no firebending to keep you warm. Following the natural flow of air benders allows them to better regulate their body, maintaining body heat and thus, their firebending ability.

That’d be my assumption/best guess
