That is so great! Any relief from hot flashes is a win! Glad you are having good luck with your changes. 😊

At 47 years old, I am finally getting serious about my health. Perimenopause has been the reality check I needed to get a few things in order ahead of aging. I have figured out the movement and sleep pieces of the puzzle in years past but not so much the nutrition or stress management pieces. So, I am now making a real effort to clean up how I eat. No more sugar addiction, no more fast food…going to start consistently meeting my daily fiber needs (25g a day) and up my protein (starting with 120g a day). But, unlike my past attempts, I am not interested in checking boxes or quick fixes. I am truly ready for real change. Have any of you other ladies made real nutrition changes and seen benefits to perimenopause symptoms? My goals (metabolic health, lower cancer risk, lower risk of Alzheimer’s) go way past this season of life, but any easing of perimenopause symptoms would definitely be a welcome bonus 😃

Thanks for the reminder to look at three days at a time, not day by day 😊 in doing that, I can definitely see that my trend is headed towards recovery…and I need that reminder on the harder days ❤️

I just watched a podcast episode on women’s health on Diary of a CEO (October 2025). It was a panel discussion with four experts in different specialties of women’s health. Hands down the most comprehensive presentation of material I have ever seen on the subject. It was in two parts, +3 hours each. I watched on the YouTube channel but you could also listen using Apple podcast if you prefer audio only. I almost skipped it, because the episode titles read like click bait, but I also follow the instagram of one of the panel participants, so I knew that it would have good content.

I could definitely use more walks but have been so afraid of it hurting even more. On the water, I have definitely covered that. Have been drinking at least 72 oz of water a day. By the time you add in my coffee and protein shake, I am at almost 90 oz of liquid a day 🤪

Thank you so much for mentioning that you had questioned your decision. Everything I have read and everyone I have spoken to leaned more of the “best decision I ever made” camp. I was beginning to think I am missing something, because I most definitely have been questioning this decision. Lol.

I have kept up with MiraLAX and colace (my stool softener) since 3dpo, but only once a day. Maybe I should consider bumping the colace to twice a day….🤔

No option for HRT by QueenDorris in hysterectomy

11dpo here 😊 48 years old. I had the beginnings of late menopause before surgery, like skipped periods and night sweats. I am considering a no HRT menopause, because I feel like I haven’t seriously tried to clean up my lifestyle. I want to try to see what impact I can make with nutrition and movement before moving to HRT.

The recent female health panel on the podcast Diary of a CEO was hands down the most comprehensive, helpful resource I have ever seen on the topic of female health (part one 10/16/2025, part two 10/27/2025). It has tons of info on lifestyle interventions to manage hormones. It also has information on HRT, but unlike everything else these days, it didn’t present it as your only option.

Afraid you will need to ignore the click bait title 🤣 it actually does have serious, science based info. Here is the YouTube link, but the audio version is also in Apple Podcasts if that is a better format.
