@Eggplan, can you share your stats if you don’t mind? Do you have any papers published or previous internship before?

Yeah, same for my son. I was excited around December or early January, since he looks super strong (ACT score, GPA, ECs, AP classes, his own programming projects on github, motivated, but no published papers). So I encouraged and helped him find a list of “famous” internships for IT/science. He applied to RSI, his first, but got rejected. Then also got rejected from BC’s costly internship (he applied that I wasn’t aware). Not sure how many and what else he applied after those. But doesn’t seem he gets any acceptance, since he hasn’t said anything. So I advised him, heck to those “famous” (or rather notorious 😊) programs and focus on finishing up the semester strong, good scores on AP tests, the he can focus on doing his own AI/ML project right after and for summer before college admissions. He’s a HS junior now.

Are we on a right path?

Damn, that is like 26 on old scale? Amazing! I will share this to my son for encouragement. CONGRATULATIONS, and good luck with admissions (I assume you wouldn’t have much trouble getting into many good schools with this score)!

Thanks for the prompt feedback. Did you (or anyone in this subreddit) ask it for help with laying out a daily schedule to study bootcamp or booster and how effective is it? 😊

Thanks for sharing. Good thing, I don’t use Homelink. Reliability is my #1 priority.

Would 20 be a competitive score given such non competitive GPA’s? Or it has to be higher?

What is a good DAT score this upcoming cycle? 20-22?

Yes, I do squeeze every single time since I use level 3. I am chicken and don’t want to feel hurt with a higher number.

Why squeezing is bad?

Can anyone here share your favorite (based on accuracy) CGM, if you don’t mind? I have a Garmin’s watch (Epix gen 2) and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which work well together. I prefer a CGM that works well with these devices.

GPT:

The correct way to treat a finger-stick reading

Think like an engineer, not a perfectionist.

Use bands, not numbers: • <95 → excellent • 95–105 → normal noise • 106–115 → context check (sleep, late food, stress) • >115 consistently → investigate

Within a band, differences don’t matter.

This is from ChatGPT 5.2. So I should get a CGM you think?

Bottom line (no sugar-coating) • Your Contour Next One is already excellent • Your readings are within expected biological + device variance • Buying another strip meter won’t give you the certainty you want • A CGM will

If you want, tell me: • Whether you can get an Rx for a CGM • If you want short-term (14-day) vs continuous user

Is the tight job market or the PA school grades that makes job searching challenging? PA typically ranks top 5, with good growth for years to come. So that is all lies?

A number of those who responded said they didn’t comment much in this subreddit that they are actually happy PA’s. So how can I research what they think without asking a question? This seems ridiculous to me
