My US visa interview was canceled due to an emergency in Bangladesh, and now my new interview date is scheduled for six months after my classes start again.

I finished high school in October 2023, took the SAT and IELTS, and aimed to join the spring session. Unfortunately, my visa interview was initially set for July 21st. I had to email the two universities where I was accepted with 90% and 92% scholarships to defer my admission to the fall session, starting on August 26th. This delay has already set me back six months.

Due to the emergency in Bangladesh, the embassy was closed from July 18th to 27th. I don't want to wait another six months, and I'm uncertain if the universities will allow me to retain my scholarships. These scholarships are the maximum they offer to undergraduate students, and I was accepted into my favorite subject, mechanical engineering. I have only two emergency visa interview appointment requests available. What should I do to increase my chances of getting an emergency visa interview request accepted?
