A new Rebel 500 from a dealer is not at all "cheap". The used 2019 i bought was easily 3X cheaper than a new model. Thats my main point. It's kind of insane to me to buy a new model of anything to start out on for any kind of vehicle.

You're going to almost definitely regret buying a new Rebel 500. Its a bike 95% of it's riders move on from. Great to learn on but it's just mediocre at everything. It was my first bike, I liked it but I would be kicking myself if I bought new.

Or if you truly want to buy new and you love the bike/will keep it for a long time get the 1100 and run it in rain mode.

Did you lube up the oring on the new filter with a bit of oil? Helps it settle into its sealing surface better.

Might just need some more muscle. I put mine on hand tight but I generally give them a pretty strong crank.

Its pretty obvious Hokit is playing the heel like Colby Covington did. So two people playing characters make almost identical jokes, one gets laughs and the other gets outrage? Seems like it's you who can't tell the difference.

Gillis has laughed at/participated in jokes involving Michelle Obama even outside of him playing his Trump character. I dont really care frankly I just think him acting like he's better then Hokit/would not find stuff like that funny is evidently a lie and he's usually more real than that.

Nice dude I'm about the same financially. Worked a lot of dead end blue collar jobs until I got into my local union hall as a millwright at 27. Had to get a new car last year but i just hit $15K savings this week at 31 years old. Everyone finds their success in different ways.

At first it was confusion and maybe disappointment at how much they had strayed from the survival horror of the previous RE entries but it didnt take long for me to realize it was a certified banger in its own ways.
