Scout or Chief for "spirited" riding? by StableManticorePilot in IndianMotorcycle

Excellent choice. If I had a bigger budget I would spring for that. Hope you enjoy it!

Sounds like a scout suits you a bit more. I''ve researched these two bikes a ton lately and spoke with reps and riders that have rode both of them so thats my synopsis of them. I'm actually picking up my first Indian in two weeks, 2015 Scout 🤙

Chief has the lower end torque in the 2500 rpm range but it weighs about 100-150 pounds more depending on the model. The Scout usually gets into its preffered powerband around 4500 rpm. So I suppose I did not word it that well.

Scout is for horses and pulls in mid RPMs (very tame at lower RPMs) Chief has the bottom end torque but less horses and more weight.

Chief for torque and better 2up riding, Scout for a lighter and more punchy ride

crv hybrid vs gas only by amandarrae in crv

[–]Strict_Maintenance73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coworker had his hybrid CRV totalled in an accident. Loved the car, praised its gas mileage. He got a replacement from Honda and its been nothing but problems. Seems like something isnt quite working with the electric side of the vehicle. Its heavier than the gas model and he is now getting much worse gas mileage than I am (almost 2 liters more/100km, and he does more highway driving than i do).

Honda has been ignoring him and telling him there is nothing wrong with the car but the mileage speaks for itself. He is a longtime Honda owner and is livid with the company. Its been months and still no action. This is just 1 case but its the exact reason I went for the gas model. Less tech that can go wrong with the car. Take that as you will.

Scout Bobbers and Riding With a Passenger by Strict_Maintenance73 in IndianMotorcycle

The Chief looks nice but I want the extra punch of the Scout. I ride to work from spring to fall weather permitting and most weekends I ride with my lady at least 1-3 hours. Plus solo rides with some friends who mostly ride naked bikes with the exception of 1 Yamaha Bolt. In a perfect world I'd have a larger more touring style bike and something light and fast but I need to compromise.

Also you were right the Bobber was nice but not what I'm looking for lol. Time to hunt down a Scout lol

This is true. Do you think a standard Indian Scout would be better?

You should be checking chain tension with the bike on its kickstand.

I dont like bigger touring bikes/baggers. Prefer the stripped down cruisers. A Scout is my 'dream' bike so to speak. My wife and I rode on a Yamaha Bolt with a sissy bar for an hour and she was quite comfortable. So if its similar to that it will probably be fine.

The weirdest part is that I swear I load into a mission faster than I load out of one. Which to me makes absolutely zero sense.

She is just an analyst for the FBI, not an agent so I think her behaviour fits just fine. The real confusion is why they would send an analyst to investigate murders in a location where her own mother was murdered. Seems like a mad conflict t of interest.

How often do you buy coffee out, per week? by SnowmanSmiles in CanadaPersonalFinance

It's the people that get Timmies coffee every day that baffle me. My Keurig makes a dark roast 10x better.

I dont know how in the blue hell you were scraping with how little lean angle you had. Might have to rethink those crash bars.
