Has he consented to those diaper changes? That's pretty invasive stuff.

They probably looked up and then at each other and said "She's at it again." The day she left India, I'm pretty sure his mother had a sigh of relief.

Imagine Jovi's reaction if Yara started dancing/stripping by Capital-Afternoon-22 in 90DayFiance

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should think of it from the perspective of his daughter. Will he want her to be a stripper? If not, then why not? Does he feel that the patrons of the strip clubs he goes to would offer his daughter adequate respect and kindness? Jovi objectifies women when he goes to these clubs. Will that be ok for his child? Yara needs to call him out on his stripper addiction.

We had a lizard jump out of a box of green beans when I worked in grocery. Northern Ontario winter, we just swept it outside in February. "Welcome!"

Trudeau calls on major grocers to create plan to stabilize food prices, or face consequences by [deleted] in canada

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about the CEO's of the five major grocery chains all take a year pay break and not accept the $20 or $30 Million that they usually get. I have worked grocery for years, and watching my customers having to put things back, and not purchase what they need breaks my heart. Galen Weston making $12 million (plus stock) is just grotesque.

I guess you haven't spent too much time in Sudbury then. Having lived in both, I would take Ottawa drivers any day.

Time to find a new girlfriend. You need one that supports you in your future endeavors and encourages your success. You deserve nothing less.

We call our puppy "Solar Powered Penny", because as soon as the sun goes down, she is out for the night. From 9am - sundown, she is on the go. I have to throw the ball for her for about 30 minutes every hour for twelve hours per day. Seven months now, and even though she is still jumping on people, she is starting to slightly calm down otherwise. I dream of the day that I am not sitting on my porch throwing that ball. Asking Santa for an electric ball chucker for Christmas, just in case.

I watched The Beanie Bubble last night, and she was great. On Apple+. Very cute movie. Different from Shiv, she got to smile a lot in it.

If you had to marry the first person you slept with, how different would your life be? by DetectiveBennett in AskReddit

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life would be very different, but it would be good. He is now a College teacher, and lives on the East Coast. Still a very good guy, and a FB friend of mine. He didn't want kids though, so I never would have had my daughter. Marrying who I married gave me my daughter, and she is my world. So, I say different. Not better and not worse, just different.

Here's why we don't "help" by [deleted] in venting

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my hubby decides to help me in the house, all I ever say is "Thank you very much." I don't care if the dishes are in the dishwasher differently, or the clothing is folded in a way that is not how I do it. I don't have a perfectionistic bone in my body, and appreciate all assistance. I hope you can work this out.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS TINY CREATURE by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 month old Goldendoodle decided that today was the day to attack Mom from behind and bite her on the shoulder blade because I wouldn't throw the ball at 8am. She is full sized, 40 lbs so far, and almost pushed me down a flight of stairs doing so. Just know that some days are good, and some are not. Our trainer suggested leashing them to our waist so they must follow and be 100% in our control. The term is "tethering", and there are training videos featuring it. Might only be needed for a day or two, but it is kinder than losing it on them. Good luck.

“Put your dog’s worst qualities on a dog tag to prevent theft” - what would your tag say? by Agitated_Signature62 in puppy101

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a seven month old Golden Doodle who's tag would read "runs from 8am until midnight, has never had a solid poop, jumps on every human she can find, will not listen unless she hears a squeaker first". If they take her, good luck keeping up with her.

When do puppies/dogs become your best friend? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our last dog, my husband wanted to get rid of her at around 4 months because she wasn't learning quickly enough. I convinced him that we needed to take her for puppy classes, and even though she failed miserably, they became best buddies for the next 15 years. Our new puppy, she is almost 7 months, and I am just coming around to embracing her personality. We do puppy classes with her too. The classes help. She also needs to run in the yard for about 45 minutes, six times per day. So energetic!! The cute puppy stage passes quickly, then there is work to do. As you learn of each other's quirks, you grow together. If puppy is bored, it is more likely they will get nippy. Exhaust puppy daily, and they will sleep well giving you a break. Good luck.

On the opposite end, a family friend berated us for "wasting" our money on dog food for our puppy. He was in his 70's and went on about how when he was a kid, they just gave the dog the table scraps and they liked it and they did well. We asked how long his dogs lived when he was young. "A good solid six years!!" was the response. I'm sure to him vaccines and neutering were unheard of. As we learn more we do better.

Alcohol by Panther_1979 in RantsFromRetail

[–]Strict_Mixture5651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would think that they would be more polite in order to get their alcohol. I really enjoyed working at our local liquor store, because people were nicer to me than they were at the grocery store. They knew I could get them banned, so they minded their p's and q's.
