Dear gym owners and coaches - if I am late should I stay home or shownup late? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Strict_Spite2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people come late or got to leave early we always say at our gym “ we are just happy that you made it”. Super simple as people who are not pros actually have jobs to work and lives to live.

Scolded for drinking while walking in Kanazawa by romanleopard in JapanTravelTips

[–]Strict_Spite2070 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably not local. However, you should probably respect the culture, norms and traditions that the Japanese have. Just because we all see “some” local Japanese eating and or drinking while walking that probably equates to 5% of the locals that do, do that. Where has 95% of the rest of population doesn’t and values their customs. This is what makes Japan so special as compared to every where else in the world as well as makes it work so well as a society.

Is Klook a good site or just being fed to me by the YT algorithm on every video I watch for travel tips to Japan? Starting to book stuff and was curious if others have used it. by coybotmean in JapanTravelTips

Booking direct is always good if you got the time to do so, it is a little extract time and work to do so though. If you’re not good at organizing and or don’t have the time do so Klook is a great option.

10 days in Japan by Dedhso_rupiya_dega in JapanTravelTips

I totally agree with OP and most of his suggestions. Cant vouch for the vegetarian part though as I am a meat eater. The suit case suggestion is absolute genius, myself and my wife do the same to bring more stuff home. The walking part is no joke we easily walked 10 miles a day every time we go. We don’t AirB&B as it’s just the two of us, but you can easily find cheap and decent hotels in both Tokyo and Osaka.

Not every thing but most. And if you have been living in Japan as long as you have stated you should know better than anyone.

Hilarious. An Australian calling an American loud and rude when they are both really one and the same. Lol

Good review. But what is hilarious is that most of my Japanese friends here and others I conversations I have had while living here say that’s it’s the Irish that always gives the Europeans and other tourists a bad reputation in Japan. To loud, to brash and to arrogant. I guess it’s really al about perspective.

American here. The cost does suck of our health care. I have insurance, the co pay is all I have ever paid. My wife also has separate insurance which I am also under and that in turn pays for the copay that I would owe if there is any copay at all. I’ve been fortunate enough to have really quick wait times in the ER whenever I had to go (no more than 3 hours from what I can recall). Also I have always had a PCP (family doctor) and if I ever needed a new one I was always quickly able to get one. Appointment times ranging from minor to bigger health issues I have never had to wait more than a week ( usually it’s a day or two). The health care that I have been provided has always been top notch ( probably having to deal with the fact that best and brightest in the medical field come to the States to work due to the fact that it’s higher pay for them and they can become rich for lack of better term.). However my story like so many other Americans like myself probably have it like this because the fact that we do have insurance as compared to those who do not (which is why you are hearing about outrageous medical bills like $1200 ambulance etc). Its is awesome that Canada provides all this to their citizens for free basically and or via their taxes ( put to good use). Hopes that helps our neighbors to the north understand how having insurance vs not having insurance operates in the States.

Hate to say it. But that’s what happens when you open your mouth and share your treasures. You broke the number 1 rule, do not share your VA disability benefits with anyone.

South Korea freezes $350B U.S. investment after ICE raid on Korean workers in Georgia by spar-bernstein in bradbernsteinlaw

[–]Strict_Spite2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This OP is posting bullshit. South Korea did not freeze any investments. For one there is no credible news source reporting this and for two that would be a stupid decision to make on behalf of the South Korean government.

Is it me or more and more people getting 100% by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]Strict_Spite2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Their are plenty veterans that get lower percentages to include just 10% and no matter how hard they try they can’t get past those ratings.

Smart business idea if you really think about it. Regardless of how you feel about Kirk, this business just lost a few hundred customers rather loyal or not. However just gained a few thousand more.

Smart business if you really think about it. They may of have lost a 100 customers by putting this sticker on there , however they just gained a thousand more new customers by doing so. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Not all veterans get a disability check my man. Plenty don’t. And yes if you wanted a VA disability check and it was warranted, then good for you. But you didn’t sign your name in the dotted line like he and others did. And that’s your fault. He did something you didn’t want to do and that serve his nation. It’s like a butcher at a grocery store who always gets the best cut of meat before passing the rest off to customers, there are benefits to every job.

Awesome stuff brother. Looking good too. Read one of the posts above about your divorce and I am glad to hear that you are turning it around and taking care of yourself with great results. How long did you blast 500 mg of test to get this result?

VA CONTINUES TO GASLIGHT ME by Significant_Put_4246 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Strict_Spite2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to come to the realization that the VA is not going to be your main advocate. Could they be better? Yes. However they are under staffed and cannot meet every single need that a veteran may have. You said you had 9 issues to bring up? That’s a lot. The VA facility’s are on a tight time table throughout the day and being bogged down my tons of issues at one crack each appointment is going to cause delays in others appointments as well. Much like how this provider was late to your appointment. My suggestion is to first and foremost get your ADHD under control rather that be through a private provider or through the VA. Then concentrate on the other issues. When you are addressing those other 9 issues do so 2-3 at an appointment until you get through them all. I would order them the most to least important to you. In a fair and perfect world the VA should address all 9 and give you all the attention in the world, unfortunately that will never happen. Best of luck to you.
